Curb Appeal - Diamond White vs Iridium Silver
I am going for the flashier look, which color in your opinion gets more looks, better valet service, etc...?
a good handwash is best.....but it's a big car hehe, not as easy as those 911's......used to have one, thinking back those were SO easy to wipe down

Iridium Silver
Silk Beige Interior - Burl Walnut
Generally you see black interiors with a silver exterior but I really want a light interior just not sure how it will coordinate.

My 2003 SL was a Diamond Silver and I thought it was gorgeous. When they eliminated Diamond and went to Iridium, I did not like it as much and stopped buying silver cars. Now both are here.
Apparently, most disagree with my thoughts about Diamond Silver and I was wondering why.
Afterthought...
Hmmm, I just checked on the SL available colors for 2003 and there was a Brilliant Silver. Wonder if that is what I had. I will have to try to find out.

We were $20,000 apart. I know they got hurt bad on that car because they bought it from another dealer at a huge mark-up and eventually sold it for less than I offered.

Now, the only thing I don't like about the W222 pano is body colored strip they put at the end of the roof (it's not all black).
It's was super rare to find a W221 in white, with black leather, with AMG, and pano. Extremely rare. If I ever see a white W221 and it has Amg, it doesn't have black leather, or if it has AMG and black leather, it doesn't have a Pano.
Super exotic cars have special edition cars, where only those have a black roof. Gallardo SE model for example, a special edition. Etc, there are others. I think it looks great. Here's the view you were talking about...

$20 tip in advance often solves many valet issues to allow self-parking and keeping key....in front of any desirable dining spot (any valet situation where one lets some monkey drive one's >$100K car is a costly likely disaster one deserves for lack of common sense)....beauty of human nature is most guys who drive >$100K cars are too cheap/stupid to understand how a trivial tip changes risk/reward of any parking situation
550 is an unremarkable car (in any color/spec) in SF/BH
White is a fairly mockable color in SF/BH for various reasons, though perhaps desirable in other parts of LA/NYC/SF, etc regions (these are all vast urban regions w/quite different tastes even in different suburban corridors of same region, e.g., BH vs Calabasas vs NewportBch vs rest of OC vs PV Peninsula, etc)
Blk/blk is std color of NYC/LA/SF 550 taxicabs (and higher-end LA cabs use S63/65)
Lighter interior colors easily reveal the many plasticky elements of non-designo 550/63 interior, which blk disguises only slightly better

Tough part of many metallics (and leathers) is it's really hard to judge any spec until see actual car IRL in various lights
Unfortunately, computer screens/color chips/leather swatches....or even other models in same paint/leather.....may not reveal actual look IRL.....wheels/brake calipers/lighting elements, cf, AMG elements, etc all play huge roles in judging real-lfe impressions of these cars
Sadly, desirable models in interesting specs are nearly imposs to ever see in advance (even in major mkts like BH), so many jaded custs simply spec a somewhat safe choice (esp as the spec/deliv process is so unduly long, even for those who routinely replace cars every 6-12mos at spec 'em at major dealers in BH or SV)
Unlike spec'g a bespoke coat/shirt/shoes, etc in an interesting color, a car (even for those who flip cars every 6-12mos) is often a daily use-case, not some occasional thing one can leave gathering dust in back of garage if not enamored w/look after deliv and first few days.....in fact, that's part of why I view a well-spec'd 65 as incredibly cheap.....b/c one enjoys it immensely daily for 6-12mos before moving on to next latest/greatest 65, kinda like AAPL phones/pads....

My wife's X5 is white. Freshly washed it looks fantastic, but it shows everything - every spec of dirt, any little bit of road slop, tar, bug guts, etc...
As others have said...there is nothing better than a White 221.
