Aston Martin to S550 Coupe

Aston Martin to S550 Coupe
Hello - Long time lurker - Enjoy the forum .....
I am in the process of selling my weekend car (AM Vantage) and going to the new coupe as a daily driver....
Turns out that having a scalpel in Florida is worthless and rather drive a hammer if you know what I mean ....
S63 is a bit too much coin right now (3 kids in college) - but I think the base S550 with the sports package would be a perfect fit ...
Any thoughts comments suggestions greatly appreciated ..
Thanks

I would wait a year, possibly for the convertible to be released and buy a one year old S63 Coupé, or get a lower price on it, as the demand for the vehicle should be filled within the next year. That's what I would do, but if you wish to have a brand new vehicle, go for it.

I drove an S63 Coupe and the S550 coupe and the AMG wasn't worth it in my opinion. I barely noticed the speed difference and the noise insulation is such that you won't hear the slightly louder exhaust. I'm leasing and between the roughly $40K price difference and the 5% difference in residual, it was a $1000 a month difference. This week my dealer found a modifiable unit I should have late July. My car is :
Black
Designo saddle brown
Piano black lacquer
Premium
Sport package
Warmth and comfort
Burmester 3D (couldn't resist)
Driver assistance
Needless to say, I am very excited.

I beg to differ , Aston Martin's exhaust note is nicer and louder that's the only thing I like as far as Aston Martin is concerned .
Design, looks, long term reliability get the S Class Coupe . Aston Martin appreciation must be mostly a hypo from a fictional character emerged from books and successfully transformed into Hollywood scenes , you know what I mean - Jamie Oliver style

That being said, they are not cars to daily drive IMHO....

AMs look nice, but are total snoozers to drive.
If you want a comfy, large coupe, the S550 or 63 is it. If you don't need the extra power, the 550 should be more than sufficient for your needs. I don't personally care for their appearance, but oh well

I don't know. Even the stock exhaust on an Aston is enough to fall in love with. They even named a song after it I wish Mercedes could get that right.

the s550 coupe residual is awful; the 2yr march '15 residual was 64%. can't comment on 3yr or 4yr numbers or anything on the s63 coupe financials.
