2015 S550 Insurance Cost

So I called up my insurance company Geico and they quoted me $6,042.72 for a year of coverage or $503.56 a month. I'm in my late 20's and have two tickets on my record in the last 3 years but this just seems really high. Are you guys and gals paying similar to this or should I start shopping around?

Thanks!

icebeam (awesome name btw!) -- this isn't gonna help you per se because our demographics are sooooo different. but i thought i would disclose my information just so you have it for comparative purposes and anecdotal evidence. again, i know you can't really use this with geico as our situations aren't similar at all. but just fyi:

mid 40s; no tickets or accidents (did i just jinx myself?!?); multi-car; multi-line
state farm. $398 every six months or $796/ year.

OP: that seems insanely high priced

Mid 50's here, no accidents or tickets, multi-car & multiline with Citizens. I live in Southeast Michigan & pay $1922 a year for insurance on my 2015 S550.

I'm paying a little bit north of $2K on my '15 S550 here in Tax-a- chusetts. No tickets, no claims...just keep paying. What's the alternative? Maybe a fifteen year old beater? Or move to a more cost friendly state.

Not exactly the same boat, but for my E was around 1200 a year. Later 20s as well with a few tickets.

I'm an old geezer compared to you guys, and I pay about $1200 a year for my 2014 S550 with State Farm. I have had a couple of windshield replacements over the past 8 years and I had the rear bumper damaged (some jerk did it in a parking lot) and required some body work done in the Lexus collision center on my previous car (LS460L). I have had no speeding tickets for at least 8 years. Maybe I'm paying too much to State Farm now as well.
