I have a brand new 2015 s 550 Coupe Every time I start the car the a/c comes on at 68 degrees no matter what I previously had it set at. Anyone run into this issue on the new s class or coupe? Absolutely love the car. Anthracite blue/ designo Porcelain interior. Sport Package 19 inch AMG wheels

How would I know? And how would I do that? The car had about 70 miles on it when I bought it. Maybe it got somehow set to that temp before I bought it?

That's interesting because my S550, like the previous ones I've owned, always starts up with the next lower even temp that I left it. I always wondered why MB doesn't like odd numbers in its environmental controls. I.e., the car shuts down with temp set @ 67, starts @ 66, shuts down @ 69, starts @ 68... I would love to know if there is an explanation for this...

I think you answered my question and the tech at the dealership couldn't explain this. I had been shutting down set at 69 and it would start back up later/next day at 68. I now have been shutting down at 70 and it starts back at 70. I will experiment with shutting down at different odd numbers and see if it starts back up at one lower even number. Mystery solved. Thanks.

Anybody else having their a/c operate this way? Shut down on odd number, it starts back up 1 degree less with an even number. But if you shut down on an even number it starts back up on that even number. I've had 4 Mercedes before and I've never seen this nor has the tech. At least now I know. Question is why and can it remedied?

If memory serves, all my prior S-Klasses were like that.
'01, '06, '10, and my current one... I don't like to keep environmental in auto mode because of the fan noise; I'm fairly certain that plays a role too...

Edit: Surprised that MB tech has no clue to this condition, doubt this question can be answered by owners...
