Best Residual on S class
So currently it seems the residual is 53%. How good is this compared to historical data? I can't seem to find any historical data online. Part of me is thinking the % might be bumped up in December for the winter event any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Thanks,

I was quoted 58% on 2015 S550 4Matic for a 30 month lease and 10K miles per year. I plan on pulling the trigger this week on a one-pay lease with a money factor of .00001. I am doing it this month because at some point it no longer makes sense for MBFS to lease 2015 cars, making it more attractive to purchase 2015 and to lease 2016 S classes. Money in the trunk will go up and residuals will decline along with an increase in the MF. Just my prediction.

I believe the same 2016 S550 4Matic (30 month lease with 10K miles) is actually 1% higher at 59%. But as I mentioned, at some point MB Finance will no longer want to lease out 2015s and instead focus on selling them out right. Hence, the residuals will drop and MFs will increase, making purchasing a 2015 a better option. MB can then focus on leasing out 2016s.

When I first went into my local dealer, they quoted me the 36 month lease and lower residual. I then asked what the best lease programs are and was told 30 months had the higher residual. You may want to ask them again for the best programs.

Oh, I was thinking this would result in a smaller payment but what I lacked to see right off the bat was sure you get 6% more residual but now your payments are only split between 30 months and not 36 months. Was really excited as I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat @ a 59% residual over 36 months on a 10% off customer order 2016.

Yes, I'm having them rerun the numbers Thanks! Wife approval sits at $1,500 a month. Getting closer to that number and the dream

Let me know if I can help you run some of the numbers. I am doing a single pay lease for business reasons. The car has an MSRP of $116.9K ($126K with CT sales tax) with maintenance and I got it for $34.5K all in (taxes/reg/lic) for 30 months and 10K miles per year. I ran a couple of other cars and my effective monthly lease payment (total lease and up front fees divided by number of months leased) came in around 0.91% of the total MSRP with tax (but not including reg/lic per month). The range for the 5 cars I looked at came in between 0.91% to 0.95% of total MSRP with sales tax. I hope this helps (and not confuses) your calculations.
