Mileage, options and any extended warranties or maintenance packages would be useful.

OP,

Could you post a copy of the vin and manufacturing date from the door jam as it would appear to me that your posts may be a scam or you really do not know when your car was built since you are off a year on when this 2015 was built. Something just does not sit well with me on your posts.

OP,

Did you do a lot of things to this car since you purchased it? This car was listed in Hagerstown at $88993 with 29302 miles sometime ago. You are asking 93k?

The KBB Private Party value is $71k and the trade in value is $67k.

No I haven't done anthing to the car and would not entertain any price even close to those 2 numbers. Thanks for looking though.

They had it stickered at 93,900 so that's what I figured my asking would be as well.

Very nice car. I am not and was never interested in the car but as a long time Forum member I am concerned with people posting scams on this forum. As someone who has been buying and selling S class cars for almost 30 years, good luck on finding someone to buy your beautiful car. I know these cars depreciate like a rock falling so your price may be far too high but I wish you luck.

Plus KBB can not value this car in my opinion...the options are to vast and the car is not one you could rely on a KBB price for.

Yes I hear you. But I live in the real world on these issues. I have a '16 S550 4matic I purchased new with all the options with an MSRP around $140k. When you try to sell these cars good luck on trying to get the value for the extra options. I think my airplane style tray tables are neat (plus all the other options that most people don't get) and someone should pay a premium but the real world does not work that way--high optioned cars may command a small premium but you will sit on this car with depreciation continuing every month you hold the car. I have been on your side plenty of times on these cars. Of course it only takes one buyer so again good luck.

I’ve purchased 5 high end CPO vehicles in the last 10 years or so. Three Porsche 911’s, an Audi A7 and my S Class. The first 911 was purchased during the height of the “ Great Recession “ and I got it for about $.55 on the dollar ( 2 years old, 16k miles ). The S Class purchased around 10 months ago comes second. It was about $.60 on the dollar for a 2 year old car with 23k miles.

Point is, high end cars drop in value a ton, very quickly. If you want to drive a super nice, super expensive car, either lease it or wait 2-3 years and find a low mileage version.

To the original poster-seller, good luck with your sale! If you haven’t already, you may want to also try Craigslist, cars.com, autotrader and eBay. And of course, pricing it correctly will insure a quick sale.
