What kind of a deal did you get on your 2018 S560?
I would like to know what you folks out there with new S560 models were able to negotiate as far as discounts off of MSRP on a purchase. If you leased, what were your numbers? If and when I get a new S560, I’ll be happy to post my numbers. It’s a jungle out there and we need to stick together. Thanks to all who reply.

Custom orders discounts are typically lower than a floor model because those cost money every day just standing around.
There was an OP at 17% off a custom order but that one is a rarity.
I would expect 12% or so on a floor model but with fewer allocations and good demand it depends on the attractiveness of the build (colors, options).
I always recommend to nail down the discount at the time of order, not delivery (if custom).
Good luck Stream!
2k downpayment. Payment is $1840 a month. Also get prepaid maintenance.
Idk if that’s an excellent deal but I think it’s a decent to good deal. As for allocations I think MB thought the cheaper 450 would be bigger sellers.

To my knowledge the S63 sedan still has the 5% discount (I have been thinking about Euro Delievery on S63 sedan—I was just at the Sindelfingen plant last July and rented a 17 S63 for about 9 days so I am debating in my head doing Euro on S63 but I love my ‘16 S550 4matic so not sure if I will Euro Delivery S63). I also believe the S63C and the S63A may have the discounts but am not as sure about the coupes and cabs.

5% is nice for the ED AMG's. I was able to get 3% any ED from our local dealer without really asking.
At the time, we decided to skip ED as any MBFS lease is more expensive as the MF is quite a bit higher than in the US. Then there is the wait and since Germany is home turf it doesn't hold quite the excitement for us.
But going over 180mph is wicked fun

I am sure this has been mentioned on the forums before but this is a great contact for CA but he will also handle any US ED sales:

1. I have no idea where they got money back from or how they got it down to $122k. Just what my lease paperwork says.
2. I love making dealerships bid against one another. I had multiple offers and I just kept going back and forth.
3. I did purchase a 2015 sclass from same place and got a 10k discount off a $117k sticker. Got it in January of 15. I got that by using BMW 7-Series against them and went back and forth between the two options.
4. I’m actually at a Honda dealership this very moment doing the exact same tactic. Find as many dealers as you can and make them beat the price don’t just let them match.
5. Be patient!! Never take the first or even second offer even if it’s what you want. You can always get better.
I assumed my deal was ok. I didn’t realize it was anything special. I wanted my payment around $1500. I was actually upset with myself when I left the dealership.

Your lease payments were higher due to the higher MF which it typical on new model and FL introductions... They get heavily discounted after the first year unless they can't keep up with demand.
+ 1 on your strategy is to shop around and have deals in place at other dealers. Especially when local. They hate losing customers to another place in town...

I ordered my 18 in May and it was delivered the first wk of October. I can assure you they didn’t think it was a 17. Back in May they gave me a price of $1840 per month and I told them if it was $1 more than that I wouldn’t accept the car. I even took that price to other dealers before car was delivered to see if they could beat it. None could. They all told me if the dealership does that take the deal. When I went in to pick the car up I fully expected them to change price on me when I arrived but they didn’t. So I signed. I thought $150k sticker with only 2k down payment and maintenance included at $1840 was reasonable.
What is odd on your purchase (to your benefit) that the dealer committed to a monthly payment without knowing the financial fundamentals of the new car or the demand of it. That borders on being idiotic.
In May 2017, neither MF, residuals or price was exactly known. That simply makes zero financial sense.
What we know is that the MF doubled between MY17 & 18, residuals didn't improve and all incentives moved to promote the S450. Two things could have happened if they didn't apply the wrong discounts:
1. They felt committed to meet the promised monthly payment. That requires to discount the car to match the price. Have never seen a dealer be that committed.
2. They may have gotten worried because of your specific build not being sellable if you backed out. Your build is very close to their launch edition config with another $19k in options. The country was full of these launch cars which have sold poorly due to their somewhat controversial color combo. Higher-priced builds sell even slower.
I don't want to be misunderstood. You got a great deal; the best deal I have seen on a custom MY18 S560 anywhere in the US. Re. the lease payment, if you have a worksheet that shows the MF let us know what that is. There are lease calculators that can calculate that number. They may have bumped that number up to get some extra money back...
