I am looking forward to the day when I can buy a W222 S550 Maybach. A AWD Maybach has always been a dream of mine. These cars are going to be a crazy used car bargain!

2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
I don’t know, I’d feel silly driving a Maybach around with nobody in the back seat. I’d feel like a chauffeur. I might like to be DRIVEN in one—BY a chauffeur—but that’s about it. It would be a great airport ride. Probably a reasonable demand for used models to be pressed into livery service in a place like Manhattan, but upkeep expense would probably be a concern. In addition, the cars are just not unique enough over a standard W222. Pretty much the same interiors, same equipment & options, same crummy, little trunk and 20” wheels with run flat tires for a not so wonderful ride. AND, you cannot get a V8 model with MBC, only with 4-Matic. Sorry, but these cars just don’t light my fire.

I too would love to own a S-560 Maybach but they are too long and don't fit in my garage.
I wish they Made a short version Maybach, ie, the same length as my S560. Then one could chose the standard S560, or S63 AMG if they want a sporty car or the S560 Maybach if they want a more comfortable and more luxurious car. (They can still keep the Long Maybach for those who want it) but i'm willing to bet that quit a few S-class owners would be willing to upgrade to an S-Class Maybach version if they were the same length as the standard S-class. (my opinion at least)

A Maybach isn’t a Maybach unless you have the raised leg rests. Which isn’t possible on a shorter car.
I think a used Maybach is an incredible bargain if you have family members who can enjoy the rear. And you can fit it in your garage. And you live somewhere where driving the extended cab isn’t a chore.

Your facts are not correct. It is possible on a shorter car. My '16 S550 4matic and my '19 S63 AMG both have virtually every option included the rear seat package that includes the passenger side rear raised leg rests with rear airline style tray tables. The difference with my cars and the Maybach version with the leg rests is that the Maybach version includes both rear seats with raised leg rests while the non-Maybach versions only have one rear seat with raised leg rests.
