I got this beauty last week after deciding against a 2017, S63 in the last minute. The dealer offered me 27K discount on a brand new 2017 S63 which I though it was a 2018 model. Anyway, I love this S560. The MSRP was 121K and the dealer offered me 20K discount. The color, design, technology, and ride.
I decided to powder code the rims to black and wanted to get some opinions about it. Has anyone done this before? Will this impact the warranty and ride quality? If someone has done it, can you please share some photos.

Congrats! MY17 explains the S63 discounts... Personally I wouldn’t powercoat the wheels black; don’t think the design lends itself to it. Be easier to get a 2nd set of wheels...
Thank you,
what do you guys think about powder coating the rims?
Why do you consistently side step the "which dealer" question? You're quick to ask the forums for help but not willing to help other forum members get a great deal?
I just got off the phone with my dealer
to get a quote on this black AMG rims and found out that the whole set will cost me 8K. Too expensive for a set of rims !!

No need to go for forged AMG rims. The MB sport package rims are medium quality cast aluminum and you can buy plenty of higher grade wheels that are flow formed (a hybrid between cast and forged) for $2500 a set. Plus you can have these in just about any suface finish and perhaps a bit more sporty offset.
There are plenty of sponsors here willing to assist
I did answer that question through a private message!
Why private? A dealer is there to sell. The super special whispered deal that gets special manager approval is really there for anyone asking for it.
If you can name the deal, you can name the dealer. Posting info goes both ways...

I used Detroit Wheel and Tire to do Black Chrome PVD coating. $600- all 4 OEM + Shipping. They will also provide tires of your choice and Hunter Balance if needed. PVD is great if you drive in the salt belt. No corrosion with the coating.

Congrats on the sweet ride. like most of the ppl said, leave the rims alone, black rims look "ok" at best on budget cars, on a classy car like S Class, that leaves you some where between trying to hard and douchbag land.
