Doors don't always unlock

When the key is in my pocket and I touch the door handle, it unlocks, but not 100% of the time. Sometimes it doesn't unlock. My other car is a Chrysler and it unlocks every single time. Does anyone else have this problem? Any tips or tricks I should know? Thanks guys...

Mine was doing that a lot recently. Turns out my key fob battery was low. Got the fob battery replaced 2 days ago. So far things are doing fine.

had the same issue.I discovered sometimes I would double click the key fob to lock the doors. When i did this i could not open the doors by touch next time. took me a while to figure out the pattern.

I had that problem too. After changing the key fob batteries it worked. Interesting what Merserybenze said, I always double click.

News to me too -- A little web searching and here is the feature for temporarily disabling keyless-go for a particular fob: http://www.benzblogger.com/2015/01/m...n-and-off.html

Still a good idea to change your battery, but be careful too that you're not disabling KG on your fob.

Mine doesn't open the door a lot, and it's brand new (4 months old so the battery should be fine). I'm not happy about this and will eventually ask the dealer about it next time I'm there. I've found that sometimes when I stand more directly in the center of the door it will work but when not standing that way, it won't.

I would try replacing the key fob battery ( less than $3.00 ) before visiting the dealer ( gas alone is more than $3.00 ) unless you double click the door handle that disable the keyless go. No matter how new the car is, please keep in mind the key fob and battery is made several months even years before you even get the car.

Mine was built in March. Since day 1 it works when it wants to.

It looks like you're correct. It works perfectly when I single click. And doesn't unlock when I double click

Ya these FOB batteries do not last long. I'd rather just have the old setup with a regular key, less worry then too of having your car hacked into and stolen. That is becoming a real problem in some areas of the country.

If you're really worried about keyless go then you can turn it off and just use the physical key to turn on the ignition.
