are you Sirius? XM
About 6 months ago I cancelled all my Sirius subscription except for my MY15 S550. I was paying for 4 cars plus an all access plan and a traffic plan(w222). This was costing over $700 per year.
I chose not to play the "give me a lower price" subscription game repeatedly. However, I am also paying for a premium Pandora Family plan at 15.99 per month or $200 dollars. so I was approaching $1000 per years for "music" until I cancelled all but the one Sirius. Being able to carry my phone from car to car and have instant wireless connection with Pandora, and being able to hear what I want 95% of the time with Pandora is well worth it. Sirius has no technology to allow "listener choice of specific tunes" and should thus be 3 - 4 bucks a month "max" in order to compete IMHO. I suspect a siriusxm subscriber awakening is just around the corner. So my question is, has anyone tried to use the "traffic only" option for Sirius in a W222. is it available as a standalone in our cars? Does the system function without flaw this way? AND, by the way I use several traffic services as I traverse congested Houston - Sirius, Google, and Waze do not always agree and I find that having them all available gives me a great array of information so I do want to keep the Sirius Traffic if it works without flaw as a standalone.

I have it on three cars and renew it every year in December. Theres always a $5 a month offer during this time for 1 year length. I just put the $180 on a giftcard so I dont have to call and cancel or renegotiate.

I pay around 140 bucks a year for Sirius in my S550. I can access it from anywhere though via bluetooth.

OP: XM is buying Pandora anyhow so we shall see in the future. You need to call the call and see what deals, you can get for all 4 radios. You should be able to get your radios for under $200-300 a year.

Buy the Sirius XM giftcards at Best Buy as well. Just easier to load to your account.

I would never not have Sirius in my cars and would pay ANYTHING reasonable to have it. It took me a few extra months to find my used 2012 911 Turbo S because it had to have Sirius radio and not all cars had it as an option.
I love the randomness of the tunes, or comedy if I'm in the mood, to have CNN, NPR, many public radio talk shows, etc is great. Entertainment news is desired by me so that channel is a favorite too. Whenever my term is about up I call and ask to have them cancel the service. They then sound sad and transfer me to a different dept where they always give me some smoking deal that makes it so cheap to have it on both cars. Like, really cheap. And i'm... cheap. Loves me some Sirius/XM radio!
