Hydraulic Whine noise

Hydraulic Whine noise
In the morning when it is cold I notice that when I gently apply the brakes I have a hydraulic whine sound coming from around the brake pedal. Clearly tied to the brakes but not sure what it could be. When I firmly hit the brakes it is not present and when I drive the car for a while it goes away until it sits for a while again. Not very loud but annoying. Could it be air in the brake lines causing a high pitched pulsation or something else. Thanks.

I could possibly suggest the " pulsation damper ", am I guessing you are in the USA and not Newcastle UK ?
The reason I mention that is in my 2015 S500 I had a noise ( in the UK here so RHD car) from the front passenger footwell area , it was the pulsation damper, a friend also had it on his 2008 CL600..
Mine was covered by my used car warranty but I would suggest it might be worth looking into that suggestion.

Mine was odd, it was not all the time, it happened a few times over a few weeks, then gradually more often, I did take it to the dealer and we went out on a 10 mile drive but no noise at all, typical !.
I then suggested that the following week they may keep the car the whole week and try it several times.
On the morning I was taking it in to them it was making the noise, when I get there I asked a technician to come out to the car without me turning the engine off, I managed to hear the noise while just driving forward very slowly in the car park..
I was going to suggest the damper as my friend thought it may be that as he had it a few years earlier on his CL, my friend had initially thought it was a transmission issue.
As soon as the technician heard it he said that was what he thought it was ( without me suggesting it ).
They fitted a new one and instant silence .

I had this same issue in the cold and in stop and go traffic was terrible. I took a video and showed the dealer the brake booster had a pinhole in it and was changed under warty.
