Thanks. Never would have considered finding a W240 section under Trucks, SUVs and Diesels.

I agree that it was in an odd location.

I highly recommend using Castrol EDGE 0w-40 which is a group IV polyalphaolefin based oil (synthetic by European standards) over Mobil 1 which is gas to liquid based group 3 oil (not synthetic by Euro regulations). The Castrol meets MB approval and all other approvals and can usually be purchased for 22.48 for 5 quarts at Walmart online. There is no reason to use the inferior Mobil 1.

if you change oil frequently it won’t make a huge difference, but why not use the superior oil if it is available on the cheap?

I got it at Amazon,
Amazon Amazon
. I only use two of the three included tubes. I start with the large diameter one that connects to the pump. Then I attach the smallest diameter one to this and push it into the "dipstick" hole. There is no dipstick on this engine, just a tube and a cap. I push the thin tube all the say to the bottom of the oil sump. I tried only inserting a little bit, but could hear air escaping and no oil being sucked. As long as the engine oil is at full operating temp, the oil comes out immediately upon operating the pump. The tank holds 6 liters and the engine contains 10 liters, so I fill to 5 liters twice. Wish my other cars had the oil filters on the top so I could use for all of them.

Blackstone oil analysis didn't find any issues with my oil sample. I only put 5,000 miles in 18 months between changes.
