Not your grandpa's S Class

Thought I'd share a couple pics of my S65 now that a few mods are done.
- Wheels painted satin bronze
- Blacked out window chrome and rear chrome 'bar'
- Full front bra, paint correction and ceramic coating (Feynlab, in case you're curious)
- Dropped 1" on Ghostlinks (lowering links)

For now, I think that's it. I might black out the rest of the chrome elements front, rear, and door handles but I don't know if I want to go full Russian gangster mode.

Thanks! I hadn't really considered de-badging... but if I did, I'd probably keep the V12 BiTurbo to deter the stoplight racers. lol.

I'd really like to do something about the steering wheel but for now it is what it is.

Stick with the chrome grill at least.

Our AMG’s are night edition cars and they still have a good blend of silver and black.

I find that a completely blacked out S-Class simply does look as good as one with some chrome/contrast elements (grill and probably front vents). Less class sounds too harsh but I think it’s a down grade.
Perhaps a black chrome? Doesn’t look painted at least.

I agree about the grill, etc. All blacked out can be a cool look but it's not really for me. Besides, all of the additional front chrome (i.e., the front vents and flicks) are unique to the S65 AMG & I didn't want to lose that bit of character.

I'm pleased with the balance of chrome, bronze, and black...so I'll stop fussing over it and enjoy.

I think the all black look is just plain ugly.

Just noticed this post. I'm not really crazy about the color contrast of the wheels, thats just me, if you really like it thats all that counts. But I'd go for something like a Mirror cut finish in a multi spoke design, I think that would look much more classy. Something like these wheels I have on my wagon. These are Mandrus wheels and are holding up very well.

Totally agree on the wheel color comment.

Your wagon looks so good I almost wished I was younger (and wealthier) and had a bunch of kids to haul around in it.

I love the Polar White solid color with silver wheels as well, but prefer keeping all mods within the genuine MB envelope.

And, of all mods one might do to an S65, not already so equipped, number one on my list would be Carbon Ceramic brakes. Zero brake dust and the stopping power is off the charts. Like the way they look as well.
