Highs
Very good hydroplane resistance
Noise very good
Dry braking very good
Lows
Low tread life (35K miles actual on avg cars vs 50K warranty then cut in half for staggered since u can't rotate)
Fair scoring tire for wet stopping, snow traction, ride comfort, and rolling resistance.
My 2016 S550 and I are calling it quits on the PIRELLI P ZERO A/S run-flats with 6/10th's remaining thread depth, due to harsh ride mainly and product defects. This weekend, ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires for $920 installed plus road hazard, given performance satisfaction on my Lexus LS460 the last two sets. (CR 66 overall rating)
A real enthusiast would have probably selected Ultra High Performance Summer tires like Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (CR 76 overall score) or Continental ExtremeContact Sport tire (CR 75 overall score) for driving in the warm South - ATL in my case.
Given that I like the occasional fast straight-away vs. hard turns in the corners, I am happy with a middle of the road Ultra High Performance All Season tire with a Y speed rating.
Cheers and Go KC in tomorrow's game!
