MB OEM DashCam ?

I believe the MB offering is actually a Thinkware Dashcam with an MB skin on it. I have Thinkware F770 dual-channel systems hard-wired on all three of our vehicles. The F770 is no longer available as dashcams from all the major South Korean manufacturers are evolving so quickly there can be as many as four new and very much improved models, from the same manufacturer every 12 months. The best source I have found for all things dashcam is https://www.blackboxmycar.com/?gclid...BoCZtAQAvD_BwE .
If you are fortunate enough to be the owner of a MB, you would be wise to go with a higher-end dual-channel or 3-channel system from Thinkware or Blackvue. The biggest difference between these two, top of the line manufacturers is mainly cosmetic. If I was to purchase a system today, it would be this system:https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collec...blackvue-b-124. You can buy this system online from blackboxmycar.com and your local Best Buy will hardwire install it for about $160. This system would include the very important (IMHO) blackvue external battery pack. The system would run off its own battery rather than the battery in your vehicle. The biggest benefit of this is that you can park your car up to 3 days and it will continuously record without draining your vehicle battery. You can skip the add on battery and run it directly off your vehicle battery but extended parking recording will be much less. Total install time at Best Buy should be under 90 minutes.

For a later install I would also recommend after market dash cams. The tech just moves fast and there are better cameras out. We have 4k Thinkware and Blackvue models installed and the difference to the older HD models is dramatic.
Finally it looks like Mercedes is following in Tesla's (Sentry) footsteps and bringing an option to market that uses the build-in cameras instead of an add-on solution. This would be for 2021 models? that use MBUX and have the augmented reality video navigation already. BMW also has a system called Drive recorder doing the same thing.
Look forward to see how these become available across the product line-up.
But any dash cam is better than nothing

Thanks for the info. I am actually familiar with the site.
I actually have an older thinkware F750 which i had in my prior mercedes before i got the s550 but now its just been sitting in my glove box for thr past few yrs.
Been to lazy to get it installed and an internal debate about buying a newer one instead of putting in the older one.

I know this works between the Thinkware F800 Pro and the U1000-D. Same with the Blackvue DR650 to a DR900.
