Brake Dust Problem Solved
I even cleaned the barrels of the wheels and they are still pretty clean after 2 weeks of around town driving.
The stock pads would have the front wheels pretty dark by then.
It took a few days for the pads to bed in, and in the beginning there was a noticeable difference in the "bite" of these pads.
I needed to use just a bit more pedal pressure to get the same braking, most noticeable when coming to a full stop.
Now, after a few weeks, the pads are bedded in nicely and I am used to a slight different pedal feel.
I am completely satisfied and glad to be rid of most of the black ugly dust.

Maximum stopping distances usually mean engaging the ABS and these pads will certainly do that.
I have used many different types of pads as a driving instructor for Porsche Club, mostly on 911 variants.
Each had subtle differences in bite and feel and modulation when hot and cold.

Naturally, I chose their street compound.
I have no affiliation with Porterfield, just offering my experience with eliminating brake dust, I guess the other choice mentioned was Disc Italia.

I'm ready to swap out OEM but I didn't realize Akebono was without 222 hardware.
This pretty much describes how my new pads feel, just like BMW bakes. The loaner C class I just drove had that Mercedes brake feel as well, kind of grabby, especially at low speeds.
I hope this helps anyone considering a switch out to Porterfield's.
