So I hit a pothole here in San Jose cracking the rear wheel. I had the wheel welded and repaired and it looks ok, but I'm nervous about the long term durability of the weld. I've been searching online (eBay mostly) looking for a replacement wheel, but all that are listed <$1000 are re-manufactured and when checking with the sellers, many are either bent or cracked and repaired, so no different than what I have already on the car. Any suggestions on reliable and trustworthy places to look in San Jose or nearby or online that sell the 20" multispoke AMG wheels (2015 S550)? I don't want to get a knockoff, OEM only.
I'm also concerned about matching the finish of the machined surface on the wheel face and making sure that the painted interior color matches the rest of the wheels. It looks like a gray, but I've seen listings saying gray and charcoal as colors and am not sure which is correct. The OEM part number is a2224010500 for the rear wheel. I've seen plenty of new wheels online, but not much in the way of used in good condition. What do people do with their OEM wheels when they put custom wheels on their W222s in the Bay Area?

thanks for your thoughts -Richard
Richard, Do you have an an auto wrecking/recycling yard near you? Many of them have links to check other yards for what you need.
I have 20 inch wheels with new tires. I took them off to run 19 inch because i hit a pothole. I think one of the four are unrepairable. if you are interested PM me. I want to sell all 4. The tires are Contanetal DWS, Honestly I forget if they are run flats. I have the TPMSs They are at the tire store and I can go Monday to look I would sell all 4 for $2100 not including freight Here is a photo from a year ago.
Also If I am not allowed to post this here for some reason I am sorry and I can take it down.
Every OEM wheel has what is called a "Hollander" number that is the exact match to the wheel you have. Any tire shop should be able to look up the number for your wheel. I have had great luck searching on Ebay using this number to find the exact wheel I needed in the right color.
I will say though that I have also had wheels repaired and trued and they have worked fine after the repair.

You're allowed to post for sale ads. There's actually a separate section for posting sale items in the marketplace. Sometimes people post in both forums. Anyway, what do you mean by unrepairable? Usually if there's a dent, they can bang it out, if it's cracked, they can weld it and then bank out the dent. Unrepairable is usually a chunk/piece of the rim missing. Also post the MB part number on the back of the rim. That will usually cross reference to a hollander number.
Thanks for the various suggestions. Not looking to buy 4 new wheels, 3 of the 4 are in pretty good shape, so I'm only after the 1 rear wheel.
That's a good suggestion to check the local wrecking yards, or going with the new wheel purchase from that dealer as it looks like the do sell 1 or the whole set.
I was hoping to find someone in San Jose who took off their wheels for whatever reason and was ok with selling 1, or the whole set for cheap and then I'd do the same... don't need yet another stack of wheels in the garage, already have 4 Jeep Wrangler 34s in there, starting to run out of room!
