2020 S450 Two Different Front Bumpers
I'm in Florida, looking at two used, black, 2020 S450 4MATIC sedans.
Same engine. Same transmission. Same mileage. Same price.
They both have different front bumpers/grilles/fascias/whatever. WHY!?
No matter how much research I do, I can't find whether it's part of a package option or anything. The same two front appearances have been used through the entire facelift period of 2018 to 2020, regardless of color, wheel, or 4MATIC vs RWD.
I like the second look more.

What's included in the AMG sport package aside from the frontal?

more aggressive (sporty) front fascia and rear apron. addition of side skirts with deletion of chrome on the sides. larger, better looking amg wheels. $5,900 option for 2020. i have it on mine and love the look.

Is it all just appearance changes? The AMG Sport package doesn't affect suspension or anything like that, does it?

You didn't ask, but I'm going to give my opinion anyway.
I had an S450 and recently moved into an S560. Make sure you are happy with the performance of the S450 before you purchase. While any rational soul should be happy with the S450 (0-60 in mid 5 seconds was sports car territory not long ago), these aren't rational purchases. I am much happier with the punch of the S560 and I bet the price difference on a CPO isn't very large.
Food for thought. Best wishes in your purchase!

Also, it is alleged that the AMG package includes different front brake calipers, the reason cited here that cars so equipped cannot use 18" wheels ...

Cars with the AMG package also get the metal pedals

A matter of time until they slip some kind of juiced-up four under that big black plastic engine cover ... with motor mounts the size of softballs and 350 hp from 2.5 liters, it will still perform and feel sort of like an S ...

True, for some reason there are a lot of facelift s450 on the used market. I drove one, meh...after driving both the 560 and a 2017 550 I went with a 2017 S550, they are at a sweet spot in he depreciation curve. I bought mine in December with 20,300 miles on to for under 60K. I like the nine speed auto. Car looks, smells and drives like its brand new. New sticker was 118!

Ths S450s lease really well, so thats likely why you see a lot of them, they are coming off 3 year leases.
