Suggestion on a Good Exterior Detailer for Iridium Silver
I purchased an iridium silver S560 a few days ago. I usually buy all my cars in black; however, the deal offered by the dealer was fantastic, so that I couldn't walk away. Any member can help me out choose a good exterior detailer to make my new S-class? By the way, What do you guys think about silver on S-Class?
Thanks for your input.
Iridium silver is light, it’s never gonna look wet and glossy like a dark color. Then again it hides swirls and dirt better.
For the best protection and good gloss a paint correction followed by ceramic coating would be the best.

I meant a spray product. I may forward with ceramic coating to prevent contamination, but a quick detailer spray so I apply it myself would be nice for the time being. Meguires offers a quick detailer for black color, and I'm trying to find something for silver.

This after the wash while the car is still wet and with hose in the other hand (make sure the paint is free of wax and smooth before applying. It will keep your paint protected at least 3x longer than wax and makes it shine beautifully. Much easier and faster to apply than wax too.): https://www.mckees37.com/hydrobluepro.html
How does it apply in the sun, or is that a no-no...
I have been using Griots Stuff, since they are around the corner, but they are inching up in price and down with some of their quality...
the reason i ask, is that i got caught in a shifting sun situation..and geez it was like spot hell..

My tap water TDS averages around 360 PPM, So I get around 600 gallons through a new bag of resin before I start to see small spotting in direct sunlight. A 1 cubic foot bag of resin lasts me 1 year with weekly washes between April and October (I also wash our Odyssey and 3 of my kids cars at least once per month). If your TDS is around 100, you'll get around 4000 gallons before needing to replace the resin. I use a pressure washer for washing my cars. Pressure washers actually use quite a bit less water than what you get directly through a regular hose and sprayer.
I do not ever really use quick detailers. If i just finish washing i will use a drying aid like beadmaker or in the past i used to really like duragloss aquawax. I haven't used that since I coated with CSL and exo.
If i need to remove something in between washes i would use a waterless wash like Ultima waterless wash plus or optimum opti clean.
if you want a temporary protection which will last a few months look into carpro hydro2. You just spray it on after washing and hose off. Be careful in direct sun or using too much it can streak on darker cars. A simliar product is Hydroblue by Mckees
