Has anyone figured out how to retract the rear calipers to replace the brake pads. Youtube has only European models.

I just did the rear brakes on my 18 S450 yesterday. I probably watched the same video you're talking about on how to get the menu open. The steps are the same as the Euro models, you just need to use the left set of controls on your steering wheel instead of the right like they're doing. It is also kind of tricky to get the menu to pop up. I was getting angry, and then it finally worked. Make sure to release your parking brake or else it will say conditions not met.

Hi Chris, yes, that is what I thought. I did manage to get into the service menu but there was no listing for brake pad replacement. The parking brake was engaged so will try again with the parking brake release. Very frustrating.
Thanks again.

Sorry, I meant to say Workshop menu. It is a different menu than the service menu.

Here is the video I watched. It's euro but everything is exactly the same other than we push the left set of buttons.

Hi Denis, I could only find one company that offered dust free ceramic pads for the S560 so I went with HAWK performance pads. They are made in China, which I am not happy about. So far so good and no black wheels. No difference in performance from MB pads.

Allen
