2018-2020 S560 OE Tune
Great sale right now! Has anyone done this on a 2018-2020 S560? Would love to hear anyone's feedback. Would also love another 100HP!

Close - but not quite the right year. But in case you are interested, I just did it on my 2014 S550. I am afraid I did not dyno it - so cannot provide numbers but the car feels great, the price is very reasonable (especially compared to a similar tune from another vendor I did on my E400 cab), and the customer service was excellent - so it was a no brainer and I am very happy.
Good luck and enjoy!

What is OE charging during the annual sale? I haven’t seen the usual postings advertising it this year.
I have been considering weistec as it seems their prices aren’t bad either and they have a better rep; $1500 if you’re local, which I am, for their stage 1 tune which shows significant gains on paper

Is this as simple as just downloading some software into the engine computer? What trade-offs have you experienced in gas mileage or driveability?

There is a comment here about the OE tune overstating the HP gain for the S550. I cannot comment on that as I have not dyno'd it. But I did dyno the Eurocharged E400 after the tune. Eurocharged claims that the tune for the E400 will produce 460 hp / 520 ft-lbs tq (https://www.eurocharged.ca/product/m...5-2016-stage-1).
The dyno test for the E400 is attached, and shows a max of 358 hp at the wheels. Stock the engine's apparently supposed to do 329. So it seems clear that there was indeed a HP gain from the tune, but it is hard to say how much since I did not do an apples to apples comparison. Plus I was on 91 octane gas (not 93). Having said all that, it seems unlikely to me that the Eurocharged tune actually has the engine producing 460HP. Maybe, but unlikely. So while I cannot comment on the OE tune, I can probably say that the Eurocharged tune also unlikely produces its full advertised output. Whether it is better than OE - who knows?
For the S550 OE tune, it does feel better than stock (similar to how the E400 feels better), but that's all I can say for sure about performance. The drivability is every bit as good as before, and the gas milage seems the same also (for both cars) if I drive them the same as I used to.
One thing that makes me very happy about OE is that if I take the car in to Mercedes and they want to give me a a new ECU software update, OE said they will rea-apply their tune to the new ECU software without charge (I think that's correct - OE please confirm if you are reading this). In the case of Eurocharged, they will charge me $500 to do that. So on my E400, I am faced with either having to turn down and ECU update from Mercedes, or pay the $500 to Eurocharged each time it is done if I want to get my tune back and keep the Mercedes software upgrade. That cost seems unnecessarily excessive to me.
Additionally, with the OE sale, the cost for the tune (including MyGenius) was half the price (roughly) of the Eurocharged tune. I can also say that their customer service is excellent.
One day I may take the S550 in to the dyno, but the closest one is over an hour away, so I am not in a rush. But to do it "right" I should put 93 octane gas in, and do a proper before and after dyno. As I say - maybe one day.
Otherwise, the process for both OE and Eurocharged was exactly the same.
So - if I had to do this all over again, I would have gone OE on both cars.
Happy to answer any other questions you may have if I can.
Merry Christmas if you celebrate it!
