Hi there,
Has anyone replaced main battery and managed to register it. I’m using iCarsoft but I don’t know what option should I use to register the battery.
thanks,

Mercedes S 500 4MATIC W222 (2015)
Changed my battery 1.5 years ago without registering the new one. No problems.
As far as I can understand, it is not possible to register the battery on the W222.

UPDATE: Very loose cable clamp bolt on negative terminal
Before going to Costco to pick up the replacement main battery for my 2017 GLS 550, I decided to make sure I wasn't going to have any issues removing the battery from under the passenger seat. After removing the three plastic parts (duct cover, air duct, battery cover), I checked to make sure I wasn't going to have any issues loosening the negative terminal cable connector. I found that the 10mm clamp bolt was so loose the it rattled - not close to finger tight. The battery is an OEM MB battery so I assume it is the one that came with the car (I bought the vehicle from a dealer in 2020, CPO).
Question - Has anyone had their battery connection come loose over time? Or do you think someone forgot to retighten it when I had work done on the car (most likely when installing the trailer hitch as everything else has been routine service which shouldn't have required disconnecting the battery).
I tightened the connection and am now seeing 12.3 volts and higher from the battery, engine not running whereas I was seeing 11.6 or 11.7 before. Previously I had no problems starting, but I did experience the following electrical "gremlins"
1. Dash error message about the battery (picture of battery and note to check manual). Happened 3 times
2. Low battery voltage; 11.6-11.7 volts after sitting overnight.
3. Electric parking brake error message (occurred 3 or 4 times)
4. Mirrors not automatically folding in when locking car / not folding out when starting. (not folding in occurred once, not folding out twice)
5. Comand unit not turning on automatically when starting car even though left on when car shut off (multiple times)
6. Time on clock incorrect by many hours (happened once)
I will update this thread with the "gremlins" status in a couple of weeks, now that I've discovered and fixed the loose negative cable clamp issue.

@DaveT.D. , it's not typical for a terminal bolt (especially one inside) to loosen to that point.
I would put a drop of locktite down the next time you are in there to ensure it stays tight. As for the gremlins, I would go back to the battery, disconnect the negative terminal for 20 min or so, then reconnect, hopefully all of the modules experiencing gremlins reset and your issues resolve. I had electrical module errors with my GLE and the battery disconnect resolved it. Also, if you have a trickle charger it wouldn't hurt to top off the starter battery.

Found negative post loose after replacement battery by dealer!!! Tightened and for two weeks had to jump start each day. Returned to dealer who installed replacement and car was there for over a week and they could not find issue! SA said we can not find issue and gave back car. Drove car home and next morning same issue. Removed battery and put in my wifes BMW battery. Car started fine and no issues for two days. Returned to dealer and finally they changed battery (sold as new) SA said battery was new and should have not exhibited the issues... Got car home and next morning when leaving out of drive power steering went out. Heck of a time getting car back in drive way. Opened hood and found negative terminal loose and ground from battery loose as well. Tightened and no more issues. Called SA and told him of issue and remedy of loose connections. Reply "Sorry to hear that and glad you figured out issues and if you have any future issues call me." We know who wont be getting any calls!!! Always check the obvious seems someone at the dealer was in a rush and did not check!!!
