2018 S560 interior trunk space...
My apologies for this question, but I cannot get to my 2018 S560 to check it out.
I'm looking at getting an electric scooter, that when folded measures 40" long, by 22" wide, by 18" high.
Will this fit into the trunk of my car?
Thanks to all assisting!

I measured it - due to angles in sides and top of trunk lid, it may be possible, but only way to tell is to buy the scooter and try it!
With a 3o return, we'll see how it goes.

Also note there are 4 sizes of trunk so even if someone was inclined to try to measure they don't know what trunk you have.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have not tested an electric scooter in the W222 S Class, but W205 is able to get it .I assume you don't have refrigerator otherwise I would advise you to remove it

Wow! Truly?? The 2018 S560 4-door sedan standard backseats was made with four different size trunks?!?
I never would have dreamed that! Keep learning stuff everyday!
I've ordered a Solite scooter, and have found a similar one that is a trifle smaller and a bit less expensive. We'll see.

It will fit, my car has less trunk space with the reclining rear seats & 3D sound. I throw my old Xiaomi M365 in the trunk from time to time folded measurements are 108 x 43 x 49 cm.

Will have to check - the trunk sides angle inward going back into the trunk, and the trunk roof slopes downwards toward the front loading edge. It's the trunk width across at a point 19" in from the opening inner edge, and the trunk height at the inner trunck edge where it may not.
Inn other words, the trunk cube narrows as it goes back from the loading edge, and shrinks down from the rear of the trunk to its front.
Thanks for your data!!

Also - the folded scooter itself does not provide a perfect cube, but one that tapers in length rear to front. Another reason why I have to see if it will fit in..

I might have to take it out for a spin later this evening, if I do i'll throw it in there and snap a pic at how I have it oriented. Does your vehicle have reclining rear seats?
I just realized we are talking about two different types of scooters Lou! Im referring to the little two wheelers. Regardless, I actually may have a large box that is about or slightly bigger than the specs you have listed, if so I can place it in the trunk and snap a pic for you.

I'm never successful at posting photos here, and it won't let me paste the URL link (Wonder why?).
Look up " ZiiLF R3b " Lightweight 4 wheel scooter by Zobot - should find it.

@Lou B, I had to move a semi-large box today and snapped two pics and also took a look at your scooter's specs. Height and width wont be an issue especially if you do not have the "magic box" installed (even if you do, it can be removed).
Height you have a solid 22-23 inches so thats all clear, width (carpeted side to carpeted side) you have a little over 38 inches, the only concern would be the depth of your trunk (mine is about 33 inches deep), if you do not have the reclining rear seats & 3D sound, the scooter should fit just fine. Ideally loading it would be putting in the front wheel first touching the back seats and rear wheels last. If you measure the depth of your trunk from rear seat to bumper and its over 38, you'll be golden.
I would recommend getting a trunk/bumper flap so you don't need to worry about any damage to the bumper & paint placing and removing the scooter plus it'll be easier to slide in and out, the third pic is the type of flap i'm referring to. (https://amzn.to/3JzmSCG). I got one for my old timer neighbor and worked well for his sedan.

Had not thought of insert the scoooter in nose first, only crosswise.
Have found the bumper flap on Amazon - many thanks.

Who would have thought that?
You don't think I would know if I had a refrigerator in my trunk?
My scooter is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow - we'll see very shortly.

Glad it fits Lou. You can fashion up a pulley system with the hook points at the rear corners of the trunk or maybe some accessible hooking points along the ceiling of the trunk. Some basic carabiners and nylon rope will make it easy to pull it up into the trunk and you can remove it the same way. Check out this youtube video at about 1:20 or so for the general set-up
. Make sure you have a bumper flap down as pulling the scooter up will be rubbing against it and/or add a lightweight board to have the pulley action go up at an angle. If i have some time later today or tomorrow I will try to snap a pic of how i would set it up.
The way I would set it up is two smaller carabiners for the corners (you don't really need it if you just tie it firmly to the anchor point), and one large hook for you to hook onto the lifting point of your mobility scooter. I threw some product links to make it easier if you decide to go this route.

My wife and I easily lifted the scooter into the S560 trunk - it will stay there until I decide where and when I want to use it. I'm really not interested in installing any sort of a pulley or other lifting system into my car. It's just not necessary right now.
Appreciatively, Lou B.
