I have a 2019 S450. My me connect app shows an over the air update available from 2/28/24. It is a map update to a map version older than the one currently installed. I have v27. It’s been trying to upload v22. The dealer had the car for 6 weeks and could not fix it. Is there a contact I can reach out to at Mercedes national level to escalate this repair? This is also preventing me from using the online map update feature. I would be interested in hearing about anyone’s similar experiences and possible remedies.
Can you be more specific with what happens exactly? I have several of those updates that I superseded by doing a manual update for the whole map. The OTA update then just tries to install, but quits with a message saying that it's no longer applicable and that's it. It'll show as uninstalled in the app, but it never tries to install it again. You can manually download the latest map update from the web portal. They just released a new update today. Got the email a couple of hours ago and already downloaded the whole map onto my SD card and it's currently in the car to finish installing next time I drive.
EDIT: Include screenshots of what you are seeing in the app and pictures of what you are seeing on the software update screen in the car.

You describe exactly what I did. After I manaully updated from the web using a usb stick in June to V25. I got a notice that a new update is available on 11/23 to v22, It just got stuck at that point and I could no longer use the online update.
Latest version for North America and NTG5.5 is V27.
Maybe your dealer have to make a SCN coding for your Head Unit, as this is the only way for the MB server to get updated with your manually map update. During the SCN online coding, the data from your Head Unit will be redocumented into the MB Server, so maybe you will not receive any notification about updates till a new version will be available.
Now the server is aware only about the legit latest installation.

I also have a 2019 S450. The OTA updated map to V28.0 this month.
The dealers have been no help. It seems there is no solution for this issue. I followed Sinotgod and tridigital instructions and was able to get the data file onto a USB for V28. Now I need the activation code:

Yes I have live traffic seems to work. Good to know v29 is out. I don’t know what to do to get this fixed. I may give Benz ninja a crack at it. The car is still under CPO warranty.
It worked. Thanks trigital for the heads up on the erase option. That option got me thinking. If I erase the data would the outdated map update then be aloud to complete? I am still stuck on map v22 sitting in queue.
This would then free up my OTA update options or do I have bigger problems.
If V29 was successfully installed, no need to do anything more. The OTA maybe will forget about you at some point. Anyway the OTA for 5.5 almost never worked.
