i'm in. lunar blue/ exclusive saddle. going to see the dealer tuesday to see what's what. im sure it's too early but at least then we'll know what the dealers know.
Not sure why, but I like the interior accent lighting much better on the W223 than the W222. It feels more sophisticated and high end. There was always something nightclubby about the W222 lighting.
I like the seating and the luxury. That's the main thing that makes me prefer MB over other brands.
I'm not a big fan of the exterior styling. It looks like a cheaper model.
I dislike putting 100% of the controls in the touchscreen. I have a 2020 GLS and I feel like it has the perfect combination of touch and physical buttons.
I dislike how they tout getting rid of 27 buttons as if it's a good thing.
I dislike how they still kept the seat control buttons when those should have been the very first buttons to eliminate. Seriously, why do these need to be so prominent? How many times a day do you adjust your seat?
I dislike how they put the AC controls in the touchscreen but they are permanently displayed at all times. What exactly is the point then? Why not leave them as buttons?

This was likely just bad info at the dealer level, not pushback. Order banks open in Germany on the 15th. I am frankly surprised that even the 14th is suggested as Germany normally sets the earliest dates.
Deliveries there start in December.
Looks like they got rid of lunar blue. Very surprised by that decison as I thought it was a beautiful color and a lot of you seem to agree as well. The only blue they have is anthracite blue.
At first blush this is not a car to order early.
Limited interior/exterior choices. Key options marked as delayed and it appears that the AMG line misses numerous luxury options listed in the executive line that can't be added as standalone options. E-active suspension appears to be MIA as well.

Exactly. I can't understand what the reason is that you cannot add the executive rear seating to the AMG line. It makes no sense at all.

No 18” wheel option. My 2018 is looking better and better. If I get a 223, it will be a second or third year car.

Not the same. The Sienna Brown is an orange brown leather. You can see the door panel on page 21 of the DOG. It's an existing MB leather option. Here is one in a local MY19 SL...

My ‘19 S63 AMG has all the executive seating options including the tray tables. That is the way I would order my W223 S63 or S73–hopefully by the time they come out one can get the executive rear seating in the AMG line and the AMG S63/S73.
