No more MB:(
Thanks. I sped through it. Seems like the vast majority of the video is spent on the flashy tech. Would really like to see more on fit and finish. Noticed single stitching on the dash.

2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
I must say that the “Executive” exterior styling is MUCH more appealing to me than the AMG Line and this white one is infinitely nicer looking than other, darker colored examples I have seen.
I like what appears to be a larger trunk and wonder what it looks like under the trunk floor.
I do not feel that the large screen in the center stack has been well incorporated into the interior. It looks to me, as though the whole interior had been designed without it and then it, along with the center air vents, were slapped in there at the last minute. I honestly believe that everything in the areas of the dash and the center console could have been designed SO much better. Where is Raymond Loewy when we need him? The use of what appears to be an abundance of high gloss, black plastic is a real turn-off, incredibly cheap looking and will be a nightmare to keep clean & scratch free, not to mention the touchscreen. The seats seem to be comfortable looking, but the interior, overall, does not appear to be warm and inviting, at least to me.

The center screen seems like a controversial design but all other designs such as the W222 have poor ergonomics for touch. Look great but lousy to use for touch. Easily evidenced on the GLE/GLS/E-Class/AMG GT 4 door, etc. The Tesla screens have poor ergonomics as well. The new S was supposed to designed for easy use while the arm is comfortably resting on the center armrest.

I still prefer the AMG-Line, just has that extra bit of a sporty appearance I like. Sienna Brown looks great too, can't wait to see Macchiato Beige with the Designo Matte Wood trim. Nice that you can still control the center infotainment from the steering wheel.

Since this “Executive” styling emphasizes the rear, it’s a shame it doesn’t have the exclusive trim such as the wood trim on back of front seats and wood trim on the upper part of center console in rear between the passengers. What a difference they make!

I'm glad it has a following here in the forum as would be expected....
i dont like it and will pass....this is the "tweener" turtle for me...in a few years the "Class" will return in full glory... not just partial..
and if I havent switched loyalty, I will buy at that time
I dont like the common basic tail light shape.. Its like dozens of other cars... even a frigging entry level Toyota is similar... the elongated triangle pointed to the center... its everywhere in the industry..
the entire rear lacks "class"?!?!? to me..
dont like the plain bland dash.. especially the passenger side
the vents are butt fugley and not even symmetrical.. really??.. not even symtrical... i actually find this amusing
I dont like the after thought non-integrated displays... just like dozens of others that have placed a tablet about the steering wheel area... and the others "really were" a low cost add on.... but Benz???...
Ref: Any Car Company Inc (ACC Inc). - just stick it up there somewhere and let the programmers have it.. then well be close to the high end guys for about 10 bucks capital costs !!!...
In the dark with the fancy interior lights on.. heck.. it looks nice....but even my ancient w124 looks pretty good that way...
that GIANT area of "blank" plastic below the head lights takes away from the front end appearance
The grill doesn't stand out.. the trim around it is too thin... it says c-class.... not S...
My opinion only....i just wanted to see advancement into the new and yet unseen... the usual stuff from the S-class team ... thusly I'm bummed and stuck with the W222..
but again, there are some that have praise for it here ...which is good i guess...

just My opinion...
I have always liked luxury cars over sporty cars. When I was growing up Cadillac's were king. The Mercedes S-class in the 90's were VERY nice, but the newer style since about 2000 I liked even more. I rode in a few and liked the soft, cushiony ride, where many prefer a firmer, sporty ride. That's just me.
Now that I can afford one, I have to say from the pictures and videos of the 2021 sedan that I like it. I like the profile looking more level then wedge shaped. The rear is fine with me. The grill is "ok", but could use a few tweaks. I'm not artistic, I just know if I like something or not. For sure I think the clear plastic that holds the camera and stuff should be less obvious. I am mostly ok with the interior but I think the 2 dash screens should have some better finish surrounding them so they don't look like they are just placed there.
Anyway, I like it and hope to test drive one soon. .....but still no idea when they will be in the USA showrooms.

This place is a joke.
Saw one in person today. Pretty underwhelming. Looks like the 222 with A-class tail lights. The interior was ok, but the 222 looks more interesting inside. For a flagship model, the exterior is nothing but a blob, no "wow" factor.

Demo car came through our dealer for a few hours yesterday. Very boring and disappointed by it. Cheaper materials are masked by an iPad screen, ambient lighting, and tacky 4D speaker grills everywhere. Interior fit and finish were definitely inferior to the new W222 S560 parked next to it. Glad I went to see it as I will be cancelling my order.

I am starting to feel that the W223 is nothing more than a “stop gap” vehicle to mark time while MB puts the huge push towards their EQS & other electric vehicles. They have obviously saved the excitement factor for the EQS and I am quite sure that they would MUCH prefer that former S Class customers go for an electric. They felt they needed to continue the S Class in the more traditional manner, at least for now, as they didn’t want all the old, traditional guys running over to BMW or Audi. When you look at what appears to be a true lackluster interior design and some odd exterior elements, you just have to wonder what their real motives are.
