Randomly when driving at low speeds the parktronic display pops up on the main screen

And then it shows the red ring around that image of the car on the main display, this happens intermittently almost like the parktronic is activating at low speeds but erroneously when there is nothing around I'm only slowing down to a traffic light on an empty road...

Anyone else experience something similar? Thanks in advance for any constructive help.

Are your sensors clean?

Great point, sorry should have mentioned that in my original post, yes they are clean, just had the car washed recently and I made sure to check them, as I understand it there are sensors all along the plastic front bumper and all along the plastic rear bumper, but there are no sensors on the sides or mirrors, is that correct?

Also, if I can figure out how to do it, I will post up a couple of pictures here as well to assist in receiving better guidance.

All the (visible) acoustic sensors are at the front and rear bumpers. The car has "invisible" radar sensors too but not related to your issue.

Parktronic only activates at low speed but in your case seems an alert appears for no reason. An alarm could come from water pouring from the bonnet ore somewhere when coming to a stop but you should not have that much water just after a car wash. It could happen if it was raining heavily. I'd have the car diagnosed for a possibly faulty sensor.

I had that numerous times on other MBs I've had. My W222 has that issue thankfully solved but it seems they reverted to older programming on the W223 (sarcastic).

Isn’t this the way it’s designed to work?

I cannot remember having any random alerts on any of our previous MBs or my current W222. No experience of the 223.

No, read the original post in full detail, they should only go off if there is something that the car might impact with, not when there is nothing around the car and at random times.

Still some confusion? One thing is that Parktronic only activates at slow speed and the rear only when reversing. The other thing is Parktronic giving an alarm when something is detected at relatively close range.
