2023 S500 Stuck at Brunswick

I ordered a 2023 S500 back in April and the car was off loaded at the Brunswick VPC 3 weeks ago. My salesman has not been very helpful and he has been telling me the "system" has been down or partially down for over two weeks. Does anyone know of any issues with the Brunswick VPC or who I can call to get an update on my car? I tried Mercedes Customer Support twice, but they were useless. When I ordered my BWM years ago my car showed up at the dealership 3 days after reaching the port, so I was hoping I would have my car by now, but I do realize much has changed the last couple of years. Thanks for the help.

The dealerships did go through some kind of software update, my dealer said they were down for 4 days and still a little flaky as of a few days ago.

As far as I know the 23's aren't cleared for sale yet.

2023s haven't been released yet. MBUSA (and the epa) decide when it can begin sales.

No Mulroney, no leave the VPC. No MSRP, no Mulroney. My dealership is telling me as soon as the pricing publishes they'll start getting them stickered and sending them out. True or false?

Monroney is needed of course. So is the final EPA and DOT paperwork.
What's funny is some of the cars having real pricing in Netstar and some don't.

The 23 S-class has it's EPA certification already, it's a rubber stamp if there are no changes to emissions sensitive equipment or other equipment that would affect the EPA duty cycle testing. To my knowledge there is no DOT certification required for this class of vehicle in the US?

There is DOT certification for every car in the US. I agree it should be a formality for the 23 model. If there isn't a government holdup then it could be MBUSA holding the cars for some reason.

It's definite on the EPA; they have a handy search tool and list the 23 S-class as certified. The DOT was a tougher nut to crack: I can find no reference to passenger car certification. Where they discribe which cars need certification it's any vehicle involved in interstate commerce, those carrying more than 8 passengers, or those with more than a GVWR of 4800ish kilos. Not as well organized as the EPA site; I must have missed whatever you're referring to with regard to needed certifications.

I ordered my S580 on 12/3/2021. It was produced on 3/14/22 as scheduled and finally it was supposedly offloaded in the Baltimore VPC on Sept 3rd, at least that's what Vessel Tracker told me. My dealership on the other hand is unable to track this car down as they claim that their inventory system NetStar has been down since last Thursday and they cannot see the inventory outside of what is at the dealership.

They may be telling the truth; not long ago MBUSA did some sort of major software revision, change, whatever, and dealerships are struggling with software issues since then. Just to keep them honest though you can go to the link in going to post and ask there about your status; you'll need the VIN or PO.
