I don't mind the color but it's not "right" for this car. Just an opinion, no insult meant to anyone feeling the love. The white interior is sharp with many colors; I wouldn't buy it though, I haven't had much luck with white interiors. I'd still go two thumbs up on it; just beautiful.

Curious actually what car do you think the colour will fit instead, would it still be a Mercedes? Same with no luck with the interiors, I thought of using seat covers but why get bright interior colours just to put a seat cover on it so I just went with the good ol' common colour.

I am sorry and I guess I admit I am blind because seeing in person at dealership and the two images you just posted it looks identical to me. Sorry about that. I am blind.

Something sportier, possibly even the S63, it's just a little too vivacious for this car. I feel the same going the other way; all my sports cars were a color, even my Panamera's were a color. Again that's just my opinion; on the various forums you'll find plenty of people who like a triple black sports car, but for me, it has the sense of a wasted opportunity.

They are a similar design, but they are not the identical part...like I said the ones on the S Class are half on the fender and half on the trunklid (meaning the lamps are two pieces) while the ones on the SL are all one piece. The S Class has a chrome strip at the top and the SL doesn't, and the lamps on the SL are longer and a little narrower

SL:

Ah your explanation finally made it clear to me, thanks! I see it now, I am surprised I didn't notice that at the dealership, guess I still need my eyes checked.

I guess the graphics are similar, maybe that is why it looked identical to me and didn't pay attention to the surrounding of the light assembly.

Fair enough guess I am not the only one that find it look identical at first, there is definitely some inspiration of the R232 taillights from the W223.

Ignore hyperion, he follows me around and lobs jabs at me I can't read since I have him on ignore lol. Glad to hear I live rent free in his head.

The designs are very similar, but I can't think of an example of a company using the identical part on two modern models like that, certainly not Mercedes.

I see, I mean both of you give valuable input and opinions and I appreciate both of your posts even if you said some posts aren't exactly helpful at times from both of you but the majority are. As for the personal opinions of both of you, those are opinions so no right or wrong, we can agree or disagree but doesn't make them wrong.

To me, this is a color for Porsche. I love that MB offers it however.

Like the blue because it is old school. Don't like it on the modern S Class.
