Something older cars or cars with less electronics just don't have...
Was the battery draining at all during the mbrace days? Asking because Canada didn't have mbrace which means no remote start and any connectivity so no drain from the hermes module at least. Asking because I thought the batteries on newer MBs started draining way quicker because of such additional connectivity and pinging to MB servers. Standby mode does indeed help though when we don't need to use those features.

Unlikely but did MB introduce standby mode due to knowing their connectivity features drain power? So was MB aware of the issue, (but I understand standby mode was available on COMAND as well).

For what they are asking for them, they should have indoor plumbing!

The XM has very little number of options outside of color. They have been going for $10k+ off sticker since they’ve been released. Demand is not there despite it being in an incredibly popular class of car.

Have to chime in for BMW after reading these comments disqualifying on looks alone.

I saw the i7 today. Design is subjective (to a degree) but this is one finely tuned machine. I actually love how it looks, much to my surprise. The iX didn’t do it for me.

Having owned an M40i, i3, and Mini Coopers I have found BMW to be a really easy brand to live with. They also seem to be ahead in the EV game as far as refinement (especially with drivetrain NVH).

Has anyone driven one??

The 7 has seriously grown on me. I have not driven one but I have sat in a few and they are exceedingly nice inside.

I have a friend with one and he loves it. I had lunch with a friend that he and I have in common and he brought the car up and asked if I had seen it and said how much he loves it. So, more people like that car than we think.

I like the car overall but the proboscis is too challenging for me.

I drove the new I7. I was very impressed with the quietness and the ride quality. I was truly turned off with the "cut crystal" faceted looking ambient lighting strip, seat controls, etc.

To my surprise, the new 7er seems to be more popular than the W223 in my area. I see one or two a day, whereas I maybe a see an S class or two a week. I honestly see way more EQS than S classes now. It’s shocking to me because the 7er has never been popular near me, the S class was always the go-to. Although many of us find it ugly, I’m sure people spending 120k on a car would rather not like it’s looks than have to deal with the dumpster fire that is MB now.

Every car has things about it you dislike, look at your S Class...you can't get past one design decision you don't like if you otherwise really like the car?

I see, so does the EQS have higher discounts over the XM (I understand they are different vehicles), how is the inventory like? Does the EQS have more inventory?

I heard quite a few criticisms of the exterior design of the vehicle, is that why the demand isn't there on top of the price? Do you see another new-gen 8er again in terms of failed launch due to pricing?

I thought MB takes the lead with NVM in EVs, colour me surprised.

Imagine if you can choose wood in place of all that, something like what uh... Nissan Ariya is doing. https://www.digitaltrends.com/wp-con...500%2C1000&p=1

Surprised to hear about the 7er getting popular but not surprised to hear about more EQS, as MBUSA's push and continued efforts to get them out on the market with all those discounts.
