PPF open spaces on rear bumper

I just had my full car covered with PPF. It looks great but on the back bumper there are two openings on the paint - about 2" at the widest point. I think he rushed the bumper.
I could see this in an area with a large curve but the flat top of the back bumper in plain sight? I think

it will become more noticeable as time goes on.
Did anyone else get PPF on their car and is this normal? The installer says it is normal, but my last car had PPF and no open seams like this.
Suggestions?

No, it is not normal, especially on a flat surface, I would ask them to redo it....

Was this pre-cut from a software? If so, which brand? From my research and personal experience, nobody beats the software-cuts for LLUMAR. They have the best coverage and spent a lot of time fine tuning the seems and best geometry for most cars.

Interesting that you asked. It is in fact Llumar Valor. I was told it was the best they offered.
But the open seam on top is unsightly.

One thing I absolutely love about film, based on your photos, is how it hides and prevents swirls and scratches. That is why I am having mine Xpel'd, claybar'd and ceramic coated (not in that order...lol) as soon as I get it home next Tue. Picking it up on Fri - very excited.

I had 5 of my, front end, cars done with 3M and LIumar, everything came perfect, so their software cut was absolutely right. They can fix this easily, however you will have two extra, not very noticeable, seams on the bumper if they would not replace the whole bumper PPF

That "cone" opening actually do look like Llumar cut, however, non of those cones are in areas that I can see (but my PPF'ed car is not a Benz). They make these cones in hidden area to allow them to wrap around curved areas without the need to install 2 pieces of PPF adding a seam across the entire length of a given panel. However, I've never seen them in an exposed area. Unless they made a mistake, you might ask them to just add a mirror of that cone shape and fill it up with PPF. It is 100% better than having a long seam of 2 piece PPF across the entire panel or bumper. Mine was also the LLUMAR VALOR... I absolutely love this film. Seal healing is unmatched....crazy, works just under the sun.
