My mother has a 2023 S580 and just received an email saying her Mercedes Me Connect services are set to expire come March 15th. We have had the car for about 1 year so far and we want to know how long is the trial for the Mercedes Me Connect services? I was under the impression that Mercedes lowered their Mercedes Me Connect services from 5 years to 3 years on all of their cars. For reference, on my old 2017 E300 they gave it to me for 5 years, then on my old 2021 GLE 350 they gave it to me for 3 years. I currently have a 2024 GLE 53 AMG Coupe that I just got about 2 months ago and I am also curious if I will run into this issue on this car as I am with my mother's S580. Thanks in advance.

It's one year now. Last year they got rid of the a la carte options which if you purchased everything, it would have totalled around $180. They now sell an all or nothing package for $150 per year. I'm debating on letting mine lapse and seeing how I go about without the services. I can always sign back up at any given moment.

It was reduced to 1 year starting with the 2021 models. It was 3 years before that. It was never 5 years for Mercedes me connect. Mercedes me connect has only existed since the 2019 models. Before that was mBrace, which I guess was 5 years at one point.

That's crappy! I was hoping I could have gotten 3 years of Mercedes Me Connect services out of my GLE 53 AMG Coupe. The features I actually care about is remote start, lock/unlock, tracking and sending destinations to the navigation.
You are correct, before 2019, it was Mercedes Me which was what I had on my 2017 E300 for 5 years. I miss the Mercedes Me experience because I was able to use my Amazon Alexa to remote start my E300.

Alexa still remote starts my 2022 S580 along with the other commands like Lock/Unlock doors, etc. Remote start requires you to set a pin, but after that, it works fine for me.Originally Posted by makris0000

I think BMW still offers three years for their service. I just renewed it myself. The built in dashcam makes it worthwhile for me.

How can you use Alexa? Does it tie into the Mercedes Me app? And will that work with Google Home/Assistant?Originally Posted by Mem30306

Once you link the MercedesMe skill to your Alexa app, say "Alexa, open MercedesME". Then you have up to 18 options to speak including Lock Car, Start Engine, Start Climate Control (not for Gas vehicles), and so on. She will ask you to either setup a PIN, or tell her your PIN if you already set one. No clue for Google.

Thanks. Looks like they supported Google Home at one point but must have removed it.Originally Posted by Mem30306
