Wait until the facelift is revealed.. The decision would be really hard then to choose between both if the facelift is much better, but then left-over pre-facelifts will ever more discounted. I am not a fan of buying new or lease as I consider it a bad financial decision at least for how quick I trade in (though I recently bought 2 brand new cars in the last 24 months but that was my only option for what I/we needed), so am excited to see what happens to the W223 used car market for pre-facelift when the facelift is revealed as well. A 3-year old lease return W223 by then will certainly be a good value for the money... But knowing myself, I'd be more interested in the latest and greatest... Am good with what I have an I can wait for as long as it takes to see the W223 facelift, or an improved i7 LCI on the battery range side and cosmetic aspect. We will likely trade one of our SUVs before I start thinking about renewing my daily drive sedan so the wait doesn't kick my OCD for now.

I have to lease for business, the tax advantages are too great and I don't want to buy used.

If that deal works out okay its a 36 month lease, so it would be 2027 and the second year of the facelift.

My issue is it just doesn't make sense for me to buy my 560 out and only keep it a year or a year and a half...if I was buying it out and keeping it 4 years that would be different.

I have full merino in tartufo in my G11 and it's quite nice; almost every surface except for the headliner and rear parcel shelf is covered in leather. Even the insides of the door handles as well as the insides of the door bins are lined in leather; while not the most practical, it's a nice feel when your hand reaches in and brushes against the leather.

The S Classes with exclusive nappa, however gain the leather lined rear parcel shelf instead which is nice.

I remember my LS400 had the softest squishiest leather inside the door pull…little touches like that are so important in a luxury car

I'm surprised by the number of people that pass up the exclusive with this car. It's not hugely expensive, and it is really felt in the car, everywhere you look. The extra trim in the back coming with it is just more gravy. One of those things where I have to guess some people don't see it the same way. I can't imagine a skip unless it involved a big discount on a leftover, or something to that effect.

I would never pass it up with a build, but cars on the ground rarely have it. Its a question of whether you want to order or not, if you want a great deal you have to deal with whats on the ground.

Honestly the main thing I like about it is the alcantara headliner. The synthetic leather on the dash and doors is plenty nice for me. Same with the full marino on the 7, its plenty nice with just the extended marino...but that alcantara headliner really elevates the car.

Nothing quite matches the speed at which BMW churns out a new car post-purchase! Over the past decade, For the few cases when I opted for a brand-new instead of pre-owned, they've consistently exceeded my dealer's expected delivery time. They have been slower in the past or at least just on schedule, but in every instance over the last 10 years they've outpaced the timeline provided to me by a pleasant margin. Good luck!
Hint: Ask them to NOT unwrap the car if you have plans to ceramic coat it to reduce swirl marks from car washes. Every single BMW dealer I dealt with, in 3 different states, used to take the cars after service (or new ones) to a nearby car-wash with the rotary brushes.

Well, there it is, on the headline page of this website today:

To me, this says that there will not be a REAL S Class in full electric for sometime to come. It’s looking more and more like BMW got it right and MB really stepped in it.

It gives me no joy to talk MB down. My current 2020 S560 is a magnificent car and part of me will hate giving it up. But the I7 is just SO much better in the areas that mean the most to me. I REALLY wish that I was all excited about having a new S Class on order, but I really feel that the tide has turned and the folks from Munich are leading the pack these days. My new I7 received a VIN the other day!

Well, since we don’t get to “date” it for a year or so, I believe I will lease rather than buy.

As with most manufacturers, BMW makes the smallest wheels (19’s in this case) look like old lady shoes, saving the sexier designs for the more impractical 20’s & 21’s. I’d prefer a more traditional BMW look, with all silver wheels. Perhaps something more like these, but in silver:

These guys are getting some talk over in BMW land ---> https://forzaaa.com/collections/oem-...wheels-for-bmw

Chinese; they do CNC forged at roughly the price of flows here in the US, good buzz on them, lots of sizing options, finishes, etc.

I’ve seen that and it is very tempting, but CHINA??? I don’t think I can do it.

I know the price will give me a nosebleed, but these sure would look nice on my silver car and I would definitely keep the originals for lease return time.

I don't see myself buying another set of expensive wheels, just doesn't feel like the value is there anymore. Something to do with getting old, I suppose.

[QUOTE=crabman;8972576]I don't see myself buying another set of expensive wheels, just doesn't feel like the value is there anymore. Something to do with getting old, I suppose.[/QUOTE

Believe it or not, the very first set of wheels I ever bought, was five years ago for my SL. I had just fallen in love with the AMG forged, polished alloy wheels from the 2017 SL65 AMG and just had to have them. Of course, since I couldn’t bear to ever have the gorgeous wheels get covered in brake dust, I then “HAD” to have the AMG Carbon Ceramic brakes installed. Somewhere north of $25K I had the beautiful setup on my lowly—but ever so lovely—SL450. In my humble opinion, one of MB’s finest cars.

There are still affordable wheels on HRE, but a lot of them have gotten so expensive in the last 5-7 years it's nuts.
I still have 2 sets out in my barn just sitting there lol.

As with the AMG wheels I bought, hopefully there are some nice, factory BMW wheels that will work on the I7. Got to talk with the good folks at ALLOYWHEELSDIRECT.net.
