What year CPO S580 to buy coming out of a S560

I just bought my wife a 2023 GLS580 two weeks ago and we both love it! While at the dealership I started looking at some used S580s as the W223 has really grown on me since it’s such a major upgrade from the W222.

What years should I avoid buying? I’m looking to buy a CPO from ‘21 to ‘23 as the 2024 doesn’t have enough depreciation yet. I do know to stay away from the ‘21in wheels. Any help would be great as I’m having a hard time finding out what these year differences are. Thanks!

I had a 2022 that was horrible. Try for at least a ‘23 and preferably a ‘24. Best of luck to you.

I would go 2023. A lot of the 2021/2022 have some features missing due to chip shortages.

Does the 2024 offer more options versus the earlier models or any key upgrades? I can’t seem to find out what the differences are on the model years. Thanks

I just went with a loaded 20K mile 2022 with all the updates done and certified. For me 2022 is the best part of the value curve @ $80K. Anything near $100K just get a new car. My 2 cents.

I would go 23 or newer...although I suspect from the lack of issues now here vs before that software updates have solved many of the issues with earlier models

I agree. Sounds like as long as a 2022 has all the updates and not missing any chips, it’s the best bang for your buck. My threshold is 80k on a CPO.
