It’s incomplete, but they aren’t going to reverse course on what is already written.

In any event almost all S Classes have that equipment so what’s the difference? Mine was $140k and short of one option (the exclusive Napa) trying to find one cheaper was basically impossible.

MB is like Bentley in that they both have ungodly depreciation! Not why we buy either marque I suppose.

Its no different than any other luxury car. Depreciation of my S Classes is similar to the Lexus vehicles I had.

Fair point - look at Range Rover’s if you want to see depreciation that will make you faint.

Its really about the same.

I lease anyways so depreciation really doesn't bother me.

The dark color does a great job of hiding the black masking around the headlight/grille, which I didn't mind on the E450 but don't think it fits well on the S-class.

I think I remember reading that they updated the suspension but no details about what was changed and how it improves things. Someone above noted they're bring back 21" wheels. I do thank larger wheels look nicer, but not at the expense of ride comfort and bending rims. Do you know if they've changed final drive ratios and suscension components to accomdoate larger wheels and tires?

As far as I know the only difference in the suspension is the cloud based system that takes input from other MB vehicles driving over the same road to prepare the suspension for road irregularities.

The more I look at these photos the more I find myself convinced that this W223 facelift, when it has Night Package on a lighter color car, might be the best-looking S class ever. It certainly looks the best to me.

It's not my favorite interior, but that exterior looks great!

I didn't like the overall headlight shape and the grill-surrounding black plastics at first, but I think I'm already warming up to it.
My guess is it'll look much better in person.
I was never a fan of the 'night pkg' with its black trims but for the first time I think it looks good with that silver paint and blacked out grills and ducts.

I can't stand chrome. Hate it with a seething passion. So I have always converted my Mercedes to black trim even before Night Pkg was a thing.

Very cool picture. Recreation of the first car trip including the visit to the pharmacy to get gasoline.

This is the first "test drive" of the new face lift that I've found. I put test drive in quotes because it isn't much of a drive, but it does show some Tesla-like animations for self-driving that we don't have in our cars.

I really wish most of that black trim in the front was body color...

While I completely agree with this, the more I look at the front the black grill surrounding and headlight shape makes more sense as it flows seamlessly as a character line for the front like it did on the E class.
I was not too keen on the black bezel when I first saw the release, but the bigger headlight shape looks more in place with the black surrounding than without IMO.
If the fronts are going to be painted body color, pre-facelift headlight shapes look much better to me.
