Thanks for the link.

I guess this auctioner hasn't realized that the 07 S65 are out by the reference "This is by far the best S-class ever built. 2006 is the only year they have built it so far."

Does anyone know how much the 2006 S65 sold for? I'm in the market for one of these rockets and all I'm finding are to many optimistic sellers asking 120,000+ for a used, and $135,000 for a brand new one. There was one recently sold on EBAY for about $95,000 with about 10,000 miles. Whoever won that auction got a heck of a steal!

Pinch Me

Another ebay auction closed this week at $106k and change for a new 2006 S65. Within an hour of that auction, I emailed a dealer that Autotrader showed to have more than one in stock. I offered a tad more than that, figuring that they would either tell me they'd rather push it off a cliff than sell it for that; or take me up on it.

They took me up on it. My wife and I drove my 2001 S55 the 400 miles from Northern to Southern California yesterday and just returned in a 2006 S65 (named "Dr. Z" by my wife). All I can say is wow!

They have another one. While no dealer is happy to make this kind of deal, this one (unlike many) is realistic about the impact of the 221 on the market for these cars. So I won't post the dealer's name and particulars, but if you (or anyone else) is serious about Dr. Z's twin, PM me for the details.

Whoover,

I just sent you a PM. I couldn't find the new S65 that sold on eBay for 106k this past week. I am currently trying to get one of the (2) brand new, never titled 2006 S65 (11 and 103 miles) that are being auctioned. I am currently high bidder but unfortunately haven't met the reserve. My high bid is above 115k and I do not want to spend much more than that.
I am hopeful that your "twin" is black and indeed new.

PM Whoover as he has a good lead on a new 2006 silver S65.

Here's Dr. Z

The sun is a little high for good pix of a silver car, but I'm going to be out when the lighting will improve. So this will have to do for now. Gotta go drive some more!

What a great deal. I wish we had such deals over here. Unfortunately it costs twice as much (if not more) that what you paid. Congrats and enjoy in good health.

Enjoy!
