Are there any Suspension Mods on the S55

I think the new S55 will have the ABC with AMG tuning.
If you drive an S class with ABC, you will see how flat the car stays when you turn.
Most likely there won't be any modifications, besides lowering the car maybe.
To ensure that the high engine output is delivered to the road effectively, the Mercedes-AMG engineers have redesigned the suspension and the braking system. In the E 55 AMG the progressive dynamic handling systems help set the sports Saloon apart from its current competitors. The air-sprung, semi-active AIRMATIC DC suspension with ADS II allows the driver to opt for a more comfortable or a very sporty ride. Damping and springing automatically adjust to the given situation in fractions of a second, and the required tuning can also be selected manually in three stages at the touch of a button. The spring struts, shock absorbers, torsion bars and the entire electronic suspension management have been specifically adapted to the high dynamic potential of the AMG model.
So, yeah, it should be nice.

The S55 and S600 both feature Active body control, which is even better than the Airmatic DC.

The E class has a different supsension called Airmatic DC.
I'm not entirely sure about the technical differences, but I know the ABC uses hydraulic pumps with over 2000psi to virtually elimiate all body roll, dive and squat.
I'm sure the airmatic does decrease body roll significantly, but seeing videos of the E55 in a slalom, and the SL55 in a slalom, you can't compare the two. The E55 still has quite a bit of body roll, whereas the ABC cars stay flat.
I'm sure other people on the board can give you better explanations, but that's what I know. I think if you go to the MBUSA website, they have a animation to explain how it works.
