The looks are much better than the current 7. It will most likely have the new 4.4 liter twin-turbo V-8 as standard here in the U.S., and a new version of their big V-12 will be offered also. iDrive is out, a totally new interface designed by BMW and Steve Jobs with Apple Corporation will not only make it iPhone and iPod fully compatible and easy to use, but will make the whole system much more user friendly. Supposedly the new interface is just as easy to use as an iPod or iPhone itself. It will be high-tech to the tenth power. Now Benz is gonna have to counter attack with something even sicker ...

thats a fugly lookin bimmer, i dunno, i like the stance of the car, and the mean-ness of it, but something about the lights in the rear and the front that just scream 3 Series

oh no! they made an ugly car uglier...i don't like it at all... i guess it will just grow on us just like all the other bimmers. no one can TRULY say the current bimmers are drop dead gorgeous or good looking car. they sell b/c of the name. bmw could come up w/ anything and people would buy it (i.e. X3) they slap a good motor in it and they have their sales. its all personal opinion I guess, but thats how I see the BMW design aspect. Driving and motoring aspect is completely different however

man, the front is just intimidating. I really like the stance. It kind of reminds me of a 3 series, but then again, doesnt the S class sort of remind you of the C class? I personally really likes how it looks, but the car doesnt exactly scream "classy". Either way, I want one.

I think it looks mean as hell, and if the interface is like an iPhone, and there's full compatibility, that might just swing it. I thought Benz was gonna get the apple contract?

I think BMW is finally starting to get away from that awful @ss end. I might actually start liking them again. The car looks very aggressive with a nice wide stance but the exhaust looks anemic...kinda Acuraish.

When it finally comes out, the rear end will definitely be tidied up and look much better than these photos. The engine will, as said before, be in for a power upgrade as the standard engine will no longer be the current 360 horsepower 4.8 liter V-8. The standard engine it says will be a 414 Horsepower twin-turbo V-8 with atleast 450 or more lb/ft of torque with a quicker trans, so zero to 60 should drop from 5.6 or so seconds on the current car to 5 flat easily. With chip tuning there will be alot more in there to extract for sure. As for the V-12, it will most likely have atleast in the mid-500 range HP to stay competitive, right? If they have a twin-turbo V-12 or even a twin-turbo V-10 for the 760Li that would be a very quick car obviously, and chip tuning an even larger engine like that will probably yield huge gains too. I really hope Benz counters quickly with something sinister, like putting twin-turbo's on the current 5.5 liter V-8 would be a great start.

Its a definate improvment over the current 7 series, Its not an ugly duckling but the W221 S-class has more prestige and 5-star look in comparison to the BMW beacuse they cheapend the look and made it similar to a 5series.

It looks too much like a large 3-series They're just renderings so I'm sure the final product will be much better looking than what we're looking at.

Current 7-series looks way better. The front looks very CS influenced; it's probably just a crappy artist rendering I hope.

like the car/stance, but the wheels have to go. too many spokes remind me of the prev generation M3 wheels. 03 SL55 tried that style for one year and quickly moved to simple/cleaner look.
