I recently purchased my first MB- a CPO'd, '06 S65 with 32k miles. After 6yrs of wrenching and heavily modifying Vettes, I was eager to get into something fast, reliable, comfortable, quiet and under warranty. I'm overly happy with the 65....it's nice to mash the "go pedal" and not worry about slingin a piston through the block. And, the "HP" on the liscense plate isn't short for "Hewlett Packard" fellas
Track times will follow shortly.
I finally managed to get the car cleaned up and snap a few pics....

Again great color. How does this compare to the vettes you owned? Power wise.

My last Vette (C6) dynoed 600rwhp/548rwtq, the two before 440rwhp/550rwhp respectively. My C6 made substantially more hp than the MB, but the 65obviously makes more tq and offers a different feel than the s/c'd Vette. Originally Posted by Shaun

At 6'7" the Vette was uncomfortable and extremely low to the ground. It caught all kinds of attention (loud, yellow, blown, etc.) both good and bad. I've gradually gotten away from the loud, attention getting, high maintenance/high HP cars......and I've lost the desire to spend my weekends wrenching in my 118 degree garage everytime another "quirk" came into play. Vette's are awesome cars and are potentially the best bang for the buck when it comes to sports cars, but they're in a totally different category than the 65. I really prefer the comfort, reliability, stock power and the incognito appearance of the 65- not to mention it'll outrun a stock LS2 with ease, and an LS3 with 'relative' ease.....all while I lounge with my legs fully extended in my ventilated seats deciding what to have for dinner that night

That color is tuff!
