Really? I'm sooo sick of burl, almost every benz has it, and every car with fake wood seems to "have" it too. I love the lighter stuff, really makes the interior look a little more, idk, modern. I love the chesnut.

How about carbon or aluminium for W221 S65? Anyone had this done or have pics?
Maybe I missed it but the MP Design site seems to offer more wood - just what I don't need.

I will even trade the wood-grain OCP, Rear Ashtrays and Roof Handles for your plastic pieces.
Just make sure we are optioned the same - buttons on the dash, etc...

You cannot get the MP Design W220 Carbon Fiber kit in the US. As crazy as it sounds, they do not import that kit here, only wood kits for that car. Don't ask me why, but it is the truth.

So, I see these Carbon Fiber parts from MP posted, but what about the shift knob piece? - Is that it at the top left of the posted MP Design kit? - The interior would really look funny with Carbon Fiber all over the place but still have the wooden shift knob...

Nevermind, I'm a tard, I just checked the MP website and it does include what they call the gear shift cover in the 15 piece Carbon Fiber kit. I wonder however if they have that buisness tray thing for the back of the front seats in anything dark besides wood, like CF or possibly just black...

I contacted a few companies and one gave me a quote of $850 for a wrapping of all interior trim and about 5 days turn around time. Also asked for a quote from MAcarbon.. will post when I know.

Very nice hopefully they have one for my car. I bet their pretty expensive though :o It looks like they dont fit around the buttons though like a normal s-class I guess there are too many options to do this. Not sure how nice it will look if it's not fitted.

Alright... well get ready to laugh guys...
I contact Lane @ MAcarbon in California, and he quoted me the following:
15 Pieces, CF overlay, need all of the original trim, 4 to 6 weeks turn around time, $3900 + shipping both ways.

Lane,
I am sorry I can't think of a better word, but the price is absolutely bananas.
The company that did all of the CF work on our CLK63 BS (See here: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/m...built-ttm.html ) quoted me $750.00 with a 4 day turn around time to laminate all the interior trim in CF.
I've also contacted Mercedes-AMG Performance Studio and they quoted me $2999.00 for a full CF kit for the car, from AMG themselves, not laminated.
So... unless you're CF is infused with platinum and gold and diamonds, I can't see how you came up with a $3900 price tag... and we are talking laminated here, not replacement parts. Also, the 4-6 week turn around time that I would be cruising around with a gutted car... that's awesome.
I've seen your website and I've seen the quality of work that you do and the cars that you work on, but I still can't seem to fathom how you could charge someone four grand to overlay some little pieces with carbon fiber. I can buy 3 yards of very high quality CF for $65 for 3 yards.
Please explain your pricing model to me and why it takes so long.
