Brembo upgrade on S65?
Any one have some spec. on the brakes of a W220 S65? - (size vs. pistons), Brembo makes a Gran Turismo brake "Upgrade", but I wonder if it's any better, the spec for those are 8 piston / 380x34 2 piece vented rotors and it says it's for the "S600", not "S65".

W220 S65 AMG
The W220 S65 brakes are manufactured by Brembo for AMG.
The calipers are 8 piston calipers.
The rotors are 390mm (About 15.4") floating 2-piece rotors with aluminum hats.
If it says that it's for the S600 then you might need some kind of an adapter to make it work on the S65, because I had to change out some suspension components in order to fit those brakes on my car.

Were the S65 units you got from Brembo significantly larger than you stock S600 ones? I guess the reason then for Brembo not having an S65 kit for their Gran Turismo line is that you're already getting them if you have the S65 and as such there is nothing to upgrade possibly? - So the stock S65 brakes are cream of the crop then?

Trust me if you have an S65 and want Brembo brakes, Brembo or a distributer of their brakes will gladly set you up a with a kit that will fit your car.
I don't why you would want to change them out though? I don't think that these 5000lbs cars could stop any better...

Na. just a curiosity really, I'm starting to get more into the W220 S-Class, previously I focused more on the E55/63 & CLS55/63, but now I'm kinda starting to like the S-Class just as much if not more, it took me awhile to like the interior, I prefered the E & CLS class' better. By the way, I really like your car, I've been staring at pics of it at work here for days...

Black, Red and Silver are good to go, yellow is only available for the 6 piston
Give us a call or PM for rock bottom pricing on the kit.
