First Post on Mbworld please help!!

Hey guys my name is Parman Sandhu i am a blessed beyond belief 19 year old that is new to this forum this is my first post and i have a bunch of questions.

I just picked up an 03' Silver on Black FULLY loaded S55 with only 30k miles && Bumper to Bumper warranty till 2011 or 80k.

Got it for 34k the thing is immaculate just wondering if you guys think thats a deal?

The car is a rocket right off the bat i knew it was going to be perfect and with the mileage and condition i got it in i have NO regrets for skipping on an 06.

I have 3 questions.

I had about a thousand pounds worth of boys in my car(5 0f us) i was making 1/4 mile runs and the performance started to dip after each run to the point that the sc just completely stopped engaging.

Just wondering what you guys think thats all about.

&& i am considering getting an aftermarket intercooler how big of a difference will that make as far as cooling the car down, will it be like running the car in winter because on a really cold day i can feel that i am getting EVERY single horse out of the engine.

also i am getting pullys - will that void my warranty? if it does can i just take them off before the car is worked on? are pullys safe anything i should know about or reccomendations?

&& how does the jack in the glove compartment work?

Thanks guys sooo much!!

Your worst nightmare...
First off welcome. In terms of your issue the 55k motors suffer from heat tremendously specially after repeated runs. You might want to check your intercooler pump. If this is shot you will loose a signifcant amount of power.

Second- You really think your 55k is a V12killer- wonder how the V12 guys will take that...

Congrats on your purchase and this forum has a wealth of info.

HAHAHAHA i knew i was gunna get something for that v12 killer bit and the first guy to get on me about it is running 10's on a 1/4. I know man i didn't think about that to be quite honest my neighbor has a 760il which is a v12 that both me and my buddies Kleemans CLK55 Stomped out. Lol thanks for being a good sport about the title though i wonder if i can change it just to avoid any misunderstandings.

Hahah, don't sweat it really. It's cool bro. I actually like tha name. If you want to change it in case you could always e-mail the admin and send them what to change it to. But get the intercooler pump checked out. I am 90% certain your supercharger is shutting off due to the intercooler pump. It has happened to all of us with these cars.

nah i had a choice to opt for the s600 but imho its preference more than one being better than the other.

With the v8 i get reasonable gas mileage , easy to work on as well as cheaper all around to maintain although i dont have to worry about that till my warranty runs out , normally a bit more reliable etc etc

With the v12 the engines are ridiculously easy to pull power out of my buddy has a s600 and with tuning and ecu he pulled almost 200 hp :O

but yeah it seems to be a pretty even trade off in my opinion either way your car is still amazing bro
