I have recently purchased an 05 S55. It has VCS and I was thinking of adding the Viseeo MB-2 bluetooth. I believe all I have to do is plug it into the MHI. anyone installed this unit before? Also, has anyone coded to allow SMS through the COMAND NTG1?
Not to sound stupid or anything but what the hell is MHI MB-2?
I also have to admit I don't know what people are talking about when they talk about LSD on there cars.

read the link, wasnt sure, so posted it. can you pm me details? really what I am looking to get answered is: what does it do more/better than the MB BT.
I actually have these things installed in my cars. D2B UHI as well as MOST MHI.
For D2B cars, the most obvious advantage is that the echo that the MB Bluetooth module has can be phased out on the ViseeO module.
I did have to have the modules reflashed because of some 'bugs' but now they seem to work as advertised (you can flash a new bios yourself with a Windows PC).
I use an iPhone, but most Bluetooth phones are supported. From what I understand the MB Bluetooth module doesn't work well with the iPhone, as it requires its own cradle. With the ViseeO it just works.
Most impressive of course is the ViseeO module that pops into the Nokia cradle and impersonates a Nokia 6210 or 6310 so you can have bluetooth in your outdated phone kit. But I have no experience with that as I already had my phone system upgraded to UHI/MHI before I saw this product.

How MBU-1000 Works
MBU-1000 imitates the shape of the Nokia mobile phones, which accessorized with the original Mercedes Benz in car system. It will be recognized as the Nokia mobile phone while inserted into the cradle. Therefore, it fully intergrades with the steering wheel controls and radio keypads. Unlike the old Nokia phones, MBU-1000 is also a Bluetooth adapter that memorizes up to 3 recent paired mobile phones. User can only access his/her own phonebook profile. Moreover, radio system is muted when phone is being used and conversation will be conducted through car speakers and car microphones.

The iphone works fine with the normal MB system bluetooth cradle. The only problem is with first gen cradles which can have their software updated to work as I am running the oldest cradle with an iphone with updated software. It works perfect fast and loads the phone book I like the normal bluetooth module better as you do not have to have it docked to connect. The viseo (like he said) also plugs into the contact plate. They would have to make multiple applications for no reason to plug them into a nokia cradle. The only bluetooth module that plugs into a phone cradle is the V60 puck pre 2005.Originally Posted by sprins

ExploreGuys, please. It is even shown in pictures. The MBU-1000 (which may or may not be applicable for US phone systems) plugs INTO the cradle. Check the URL (which I posted earlier):
