Incredible midrange acceleration, simply mindblowing considering the size of that thing.
I was really shocked at the acceleration over 100mph.
Feels much nimbler and not as ponderous as the S65,you can really tell the difference in weight over front wheels.(No traditional breaking in for me,I prefer the school of "drive hard from the beginning")
I was aprehensive regarding the transmission, afraid it would be jerky like my SL63 but it is really nicely tuned, smooth like with torque converter and very quick at the same time.
Glad I got the Perf. pckge,Renntech doesn't have ECU ready yet and the car just flies past the 150mph mark (I drive on the Edens at 4am to my warehouse,so no traffic to speak of).
I put Pirelli Sottozeros on stock rims, will put the factory tires on Vossens I'm still waiting for.

congrats, she's a beaut![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Take a snap shot of the engine bay if possible.
I love the interior, short of RR or Bentley the S-class makes one of the best interiors IMO.
Gorgeous house too--looks like it belongs in the French countryside.
You've got quite the collection of cars and a sweet life--you're a very fortunate man![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Congrats

Love the V8 Bi-turbo badge. I agree with the comment about the S65 and feeling the weight of the engine up front when you throw it around. You need to move west where you can enjoy that car year round!!

It has very,very long legs.

Lovely car, congratulations. Really a nice touch to choose designo and a welcome break from most MB I see which are silver with black.
Does the new biturbo feel superior to the 6.2? I imagine there's a lot more shove low-down. How about top-end feel? Really great to see a return to forced induction.
Thanks for the comparison with the 65 series too, nice to have improved handling and with the performance pack I bet it feels close to as fast in straight line.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Good for you, I'm unsure about interior color though.
If I recall correctly you have had some fantastic cars right?
This is the first S63 I have seen delivered online here, "wrongcoast" got the first CL63 w new motor.

I have driven a lot of different forced induction cars but this one is the first with such immediate throttle response and continous power delivery that seems to increase instead of diminish at high end.
Freaky engine for such a "comfy couch"....
Transmission is heavens better then the SL63s in refinement and smoothness but if you are looking for a chauffeur driven limo,an S65 or S600 or even S550 is a better proposition, regular Auto is still much smoother in daily driving then this.
If I had passengers on a regular basis I would probably take S65 instead,as it is, S63 fulfills all my needs as a better "driver".

Down low you get V12 like torque shove that propels you forward without letting go all the way to insane speeds when you decide to give up before the car does.

Smooth enough for a sporty car like SL ,a little bit too rough for a luxury limo when carrying passengers perhaps.
Switching to C (comfort) mode helps with that but then you are stuck with Start/Stop feature which is not everyone's liking.

I didn't say it was bad, just not as smooth as regular auto with torque converter.
