Has anyone hardwired a V1 into a 2008 S class?

Depends where I'm going.
Reus came out and installed their complete system. Asked the installer to hardwire my V1 and he pulled power from the rear. It wakes up when the keyless go system detects I'm near the car or when I open the door. Strange to hear the radar detector turn on when a door is opened but it works.

I thought that the W221 blocks the signal and radar detectors dont work in them? I let my friend borrow my car and he said his Passport doesnt work due to the blockage of infrared?

i believe certain area of the windshield isn't blocked, like right to the left and right of mirror holder, and also bottom part of windshield right in the middle
