Thanks, I'll be careful. Should be here on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Awesome news. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Here's a great ressource to get an idea of what your car can do at the track. Turbo cars tend to do better than it anticipates due to the extra torque.

Hey glad to hear!! Don't hesitate to get the tires really hot, I would beware of the "50 ft off the line spin", but you won't know unless you try. I hope it cools off a bit, its just sticky hot/humid in NY today. Have a great time.

well, didn't go quite as planned. 11.35 at 128mph with a horrendous 60 ft, 1.87 Then I cut a 1.81 and ran 11.34 at 127mph. I gotta work on my launches, I've cut 1.72 on my street tires with an open diff before all the work, so something is way off. I don't fully understand the dyno mode burnout. And the folks in front of me kept driving straight through the waterbox, leaving me with a wet track at launch. but you know what they say about excuses.

That mph definately means you have the power to run 10's. drop that 60' by .2 and you will be well into the 10's. On my 11.0 passes I was hitting mid 1.6's and I bet I can get the car into the 1.5's eventually. What rear tires were you running?

Lastly the trap will drop w/better 60' & leads me to another Q what was the DA & ambient temp?
Damn.. Just looked up 06' s65 does it really weigh 4894 lbs? Ouch.. So including driver (guessing average dude 185) puts your race weight 5079-5100lbs

I was running an old set of Nitto NT05R drag radials, but I was being a pu$$y and not going into dyno mode to do a burnout, I was launching sans burnout, which defeats the purpose of the drag radials. I have cut a 1.72 on my Pilot supersports with no burnout, on my way to an 11.56 with an open diff, so I know I can do better. I think I'm just going to have to get comfortable with the waterbox and let it all hang out. I'll go back on a test and tune day, they tend to get pissy on street night if you are horsing around in the burnout box. On test and tune they give you a bunch more time. Ricker, the car weighs around 4980 with me in it. I don't know the DA, it was around 76 degrees.

I usually try to drive around the water box, back in to it to wet the tires, then pull forward just to the front of it before doing my burn out. This keeps my car and tires as dry as possible. It is a good idea to go talk with the staging guy before he gets busy and let him know this is how you want to do it.
I keep my side mirrors pointed at the tires so I can see what is going on during the burnout process too. I added a line lock in my car so I'm not cooking the rear brakes every time. I wired it so that when I flip a switch in my ash tray compartment the horn button becomes the LL control so I don't have any extra switches visible.
Dyno mode always at the track, manual mode for the burn out and pass. Tried running with the car raised and normal height and it hooked just as well sitting normal. Oh and don't forget after the burnout to shift back in to first gear!
I have only run my car one weekend at the track so far but made 20 passes that first weekend. Not claiming to be an expert with the CL at the track yet but I've made hundreds of passes before in previous cars & trucks so I'm not green either.

Well its nice to see you are making the power with the decent MPH. As you already know its all in the 60 from here. Dr. Matt has done everything I have mentioned in the past. I would also consider getting Mickey Thompson DRs and you gotta put the car in dyno mode for the time you are at the track. Do a decent burnout and launch at the highest rpm the the brakes will hold, which should be around 2,500. It may be a little different since you are making more power, but what ever the brakes can hold. You will get a 10.xx second pass. to give you an idea, I was able to make my personal best with a lower MPH and in 30-35 degree cooler temps.

Sorry to hijack this thread a little however i am kinda on subject. I have an sl600 and have done 3" down pipes and 200cell sport cats however i feel my stock intake setup is not working and I don't feel like i have the hp gains. I have seen this discussed elsewhere however i would like some advice as to what the best intake setup would be for a circuit tracked car.2010 sl600 with eurocharged ECU,quaife LSD and 3" down pipes.

Thx Thericker. I know its strange but i like the idea of people thinking what is he doing in that car on a track then eating their words when i pass them. The main problem i see with the weight is the braking so I am going with the BBK Brembo kit to solve this problem. Anything else I could do to improve the track performance?
If this is going too far off topic let me know and I will try posting somewhere else.

Thericker one more thing. I am considering the speedriven intercooler. I think you have experience with them. Would you recommend it because I have seen a few issues with the speedriven guys over the last year.

Any updates with the family ROCKET??? I'd love to hear some stories... Also if you have a chance if you could share a close up of the intake setup. I hope your not eating up too much of the rear tires with 60mph burnouts.

Great pics thanks for what you provided. I think even a close up won't reveal the point of connection or method of attachment. If they were off it would be a bit more straight forward. I am working on a setup that I intend to share hopefully in the next two weeks. A bit easier for the DIY.
