S 55 AMG 2002 , car raised up to high , rides rough.
Just finished getting clobbered by stealership , had the dreaded Active body control pump replaced $$$ WHICH WAS DEAD , However, they did mention to me car is raised up slightly higher and you can feel every bump you go over . This was what dealer wrote up additionally " GOT ACTIVE BODY CONTROL UP AND RUNNING , TIGHTEND LINES,SOME LINES ARE SEEPING , VEHICLE RAISES UP NOW AND IS DRIVABLE BUT RIDES ROUGH , VERY STIFF , WOULD NEED TO DIAGNOSE STIFF RIDE ISSUE , VIBRATION DAMPNER ISSUE , NEED TO LOOK INTO FURSTER, TRIED TO GET CAR TO LOWER DOWN AND GET OUT OF STIFF MODE BUT WOULD NOT LOWER, NEED MORE LABOR TIME TO INSPECT AND DIAGNOSE IF CLIENT WANTS " . NATURALLY I SAY NO AT $175 AN HOUR . ANY IDEA WHAT THIS COULD BE .

if the car raises up and rides stiff, there is a fault in the ABC system (this is a fail safe mode). The dealer has not done their due diligence.
A faulty speed sensor can also trigger this fail safe mode.

yes. if there is an error in the ABC, speed sensor system and other realted systems the ABC will go into a fail safe mode and raise all they way up and ride will be super stiff
