CPO rotors question - urgent!

So as my car was inspected for the ABC failure today, the SA called me and said that my front pads/rotors need to be replaced for 3K. I have only had the car for 3-4 months and put 4K miles on it mostly in LA traffic. Question is, what is the minimum required life left on front rotors when sold as CPO car? I am very confused by this. Please help.

brake jobs are easy money, hence they will try to sell them to customers.
cost of rotors are about 160 per side plus add maybe 150 for a set of good aftermarket brake pads.

no need to replace them for 3k

Please share the link where I can get these parts!!! For my 2011 S63 I've seen them for $1K per rotor here in Canada.

Yeah............took mine in for a check engine light after a week of owning it (not where I bought it) and was told the same thing.......front rotors and pads needed replacing plus spark plugs as the recommended replacement for the plugs is 5 years...........5K and that didn't include the repairing of the check engine light.

Had a similar issue with my S65. Took it in for first service after I purchased cpo and had only put 1100 miles on it. They told me I needed new tires. The dealer refused to cover under cpo. I sent email to mercedes corporate. Had a phone call from mercedes and corporate made the dealership replace my tires. Was an experience I was quite impressed with. Maybe this will help you.

when i wen to dealer for warranty work to be done, SA told me my front brakes are done and both rotor and pads need to be replaced... SA quoted me $1000+... i said "no thank you" and came home... checked the front pads and still had 50% left...

1) inspect ur pads first
2) if it needs brake job, then either DIY or take it to local shop

DIY is a much better option. Cruise on our catalog and find brake rotors/pads here. We also have a great DIY Tech Article assortment if needing help with how to do the install yourself. Check that out here.

Thanks but not much of a savings after shipping, exchange rate, and customs etc.

I went last week to the dealer and I do have to do all 4 pads and rotors plus a control arm. After speaking to the service manager I received a 10% discount so my total bill after labour is going to be $9700 CAD.
