S55 2004 - Battery Dead - Can't open trunk!
I know this sounds stupid, but I parked my car in the garage too close to the wall, the battery is dead so I cannot power it, the trunk wont open due to the car being too close to the wall.
is there anyway I can find a + terminal under the hood? ( I can't locate it)
If i can put the car on neutral and just push it 1cm fwd. it will solve the problem.
But of course the shifter won't shift.
any ideas?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you should have a power relay under the passenger front carpet just like my CL does. Pull back the carpet from the firewall and you should see an aluminum plate held there by a few nuts. Remove that plate and under it you will see a relay that is the termination of you main power cable coming from the battery. You can jump or charge the car right there.

Couldn't find the relay under the carpet.
Also I've purchased battery tinder that goes into the cigarette light socket, I wasn't going to start the engine, only wanted to disengage the shifter to N so I can push the car 2 inches forward. but it gave no power at all.

can you post a picture of the engine bay close to the passenger side. You might have the plus terminal there. I don't have your model but a picture may help.

Get a set of "car dollies" {"Google it if you don't know what they are}, jack up the car , put a dollie under each wheel, slide the car away from the wall, open the trunk and jump start, charge, or replace the battery.Attachment 323588
Thank you all for the help

Before you buy such a device...
You might want to verify whether your cigarette lighter socket(s) stay alive on the vehicle when the key is withdrawn.
As far as I recall, the center console (dashboard) cig lighter is on a relay that opens up (disconnects) when you turn off the car.
I'm not sure about the storage console, or the ones in the rear doors ash trays.
Plus, there is no way in heck that you can put over 30+ Amps through those wires to jump a vehicle with a truly dead battery. Even if there is no relay, you will fry the fuse.
You might as well throw a match into the back seat and see if it lights first. It is odd that the gadget-makers advertise that as a feature.
